s5 camera question

On my galaxy s5 during low light conditions the screen looks really bad while looking through the camera... Are all the s5s like this? The photos look like they're resolution is really really bad it looks all blurry and weird but with flash they look good. Just want to know if this is a normal thing.

Cameras in phones have a small sensor which normally means bad low light performance.

When the light is low it uses a slow shutter speed, which makes it very sensitive to motion, giving you the blur. My S4 has a "low-light" mode which apparently boosts its sensitivity, I guess like setting a higher ISO on a dSLR.

But basically the "blurry" look is motion blur. The camera is recording the image for a long enough time that the motion smears the image.
