I'd actually prefer to see the late model of the 9000 turbo, if I'm not mistaken the last of the breed had a V6 engine with an acclaimed power output of 220bhp, but in reality it was more like 260bhp and a simple software upgrade could easily boost it to about 300bhp.

The second generation 9000 turbo has it's own thread, but I rather have this haha. And yeah it had a none aspirated V6 to it's engine-palette :)

I owned a 1990 9000turbo auto back in '95/'96. Wasn't quick off the line but cruised on I-95 like it was on the Autobahnen. ;)

Wasn't it 100,000km (62,000miles)?

Also, they were taking it seriously as they took the 3 cars along just in case the other 2 blew-up.

Straight from the factory, flat out around a banked circuit for 20 days and nights, pretty much proving that SAABs were over-engineered.
I think they were in a perpetual competition with Volvo for car longevity in the days of the 240/260 models.

Nowadays we get planned obsolescence as standard.
