The Saab 99 EMS (Electronic-Manual-Special) debuted, as the sporty top of the line model, in 1972 and was only available in a copper metallic color called "Korall" (Coral) and only in two-door body style until 1974 . In 1974 the interior was updated with integrated headrest and more sober finish and the exterior had now more color to choose between. There you have the answer for why I'm suggesting the EMS from 1974 instead of 1972 :P
