Ever see the Cartalk site (cartalk.cars.com)? This reminded me of some things I saw a while ago in the millenium awards. So I searched and found it. They gave out certain "awards." (This is pasted from: http://cartalk.cars.com/About/Worst-Cars/lifetime.html)

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FOR SMOKE AND MIRRORS:

Winner: Lee Iacocca

For the entire decade of the 1980s, Iacocca's Chrysler Corporation made basically one car--the K car. They called it the Aries...and the Reliant. Then they put a huge cardboard box on it and called it a minivan.

Iacocca had people thinking that Chrysler made seven or eight different cars! And it was one lousy car! He did the same thing when he worked for Ford. His first foray into the smoke-and-mirrors arena was the Mustang--a great car. And what was it? A Ford Falcon. Lee saw the way that car sold, and he said, "Hey! I can make a career outta this!" Well, good for you, Lee!

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT FOR SMOKE WITHOUT MIRRORS:

Winner: General Motors in the 1980s

General Motors also made one car and gave it four or five different names. But they weren't as clever as Iacocca, so everybody knew that a Chevy was the same as a Buick, which was the same as an Oldsmobile...which was the same as a Pontiac. GM really cheaped out. What other company could change a taillight and rename a car? Congratulations, GM!

Seat Alhambra, Volkswagon Sharan & Ford Galaxy [EUR]
Fiat Ulyseys, Lancia Z & a Citroen minivan [EUR]
Ssangyong Istana & Mercedes-Benz MB100 [Asia]

The earlier Isuzu Oasis (the best-looking minivan ever) and earlier Honda Odyssey were the same. Brilliantly, Isuzu did not continue production of the new body style of the Odyssey, now one of the "best minivans ever made." Heh. Isuzu just keeps screwing up...

Unknown similarities:
-Kia Spectra/Shuma/Sephia & Mazda 323?!
-Kia Besta & Mazda E2000 van
-Hyundai 1st gen Tiburon & last gen Mitsu Eclipse?!

Kia Pride = Mazda 121
Mazda 121 = Ford Fiesta (well it did)
Dacia Denim = Renaut 12
Fiat Uylesse = Citroen Synergie/Evasion, Peugeot 806, Lancia Z (thats the full list Vanishing Boy:))
Daewoo Espero = Vauxhall Cavalier (with styling changes)
Daewoo Nexia = Vauxhall Astra
Audi A3 = VW Golf, Beetle and Bora, Audi TT, Skoda Octavia, Seat Leon and Toledo(?) (I'm sure there is more)
VW Polo = Skoda Felicia
Old VW Polo = Seat Ibiza
Peugeot Partner = Citroen Berlingo (NOT Renault Kangoo!)
Fiat Ducato = Citroen Relay (i think thats the name), Peugeot Boxer

There is a few more, some have been done above but wrongly (Mazkid's VW bit at the bottom for instance). There are loads more but some of us have to work ;):D

Similarities between Eclipse & Tiburon (suspicious details):
-interior design (notice the a/c vents on the side?)
-size and shape (eerily roundish and almost similar in size [Eclipse looks a bit longer in length])
-"sharing ideas between the Hyun & Mitsu" Mitsu Montero/Pajero & Hyundai Galloper.

Hey, that was a good one mr. pushrod; since I'm still a rookie I have a long way to run.:D

Yeah, Eclipse is longer. Ride in the two, you'll catch a significant difference. The Eclipse is actually a decent car, but the Tibby is literally a piece of crap. And its turning circle is the size of Eastern Massachusetts.

No its not, the CL looks nothing like the Accord Coupe, they never have, the new CLs have more rounded back ends and the accord is slants with its weird lights.
