I'm kind of lost on this one as you can not trade credits for cars. I'm somewhat new to GT5 so I don't know if this was possible in the past. But I do know you can't do it now.
Edit: If you want to trade for something payment is limited to stuff like other cars (must be 950,000 credits or less as anything higher then that can not be traded thanks to the yahoos at Polyphony Digital changing the rules a while ago), tickets (B-day, level, or green car tickets), helmets, suits, or paint chips. Since a user can only send one car a day per account/PS3 most people want to trade one car for another, even if it's asking for a 900,000 credit car in trade for a 50,000 credit muscle car.
There are several stickies at the top of this forum that you may want to read before going any further as there are some people here that will flame you in a heart beat if you don't.
