I've just bought a psp base pack and gran turismo psp.

however the base pack does not include a memory card. And i don't have the money to get one (need to pay my parents back for it so can't buy anything)

is there any other way i can save my data untill i can get a memory card.

(does it take any other formats (sd, ect) (can i save it to our pc)

i just really don't want to have to start again ever time i turn it on.

help please

Don't turn off the psp but use the standby function.

This.

On top of that, make sure you always keep the battery charged, and more importantly make sure you never want to play another game until you score a Memory Stick.

thanks, How long is the battery life on it so how long can i be out for.

but wouldnt you have to quit the game before you can format the memory card?

Depends on what PSP you have. My Slim isn't charged 100%, but, I think it's good for about 3.5 hours with all of the power-saving settings and the screen dimmed.

Not at all.

its an ordinary psp bought for £60 quid preowned or game.co.uk.

(i ordered it today with next day delivery (they said it wouldn't be effected by the postal strike) when do you think it will arive? Monday?

Not to be too horribly obvious but, 2gb memory stick = $9.99 I can probably find that in my couch cushions. I know I have at least that in my car for toll roads/parking meters.

But you can get about 3.5 hours out of a fully charged fat psp.

I don't understand the big deal. If you turn off the machine how much data will you lose. If you just bought it. A couple of hours maybe more. In the grand scheme of things it's a small amount of time.

Just consider the time you will/have spent practice. And go out and earn $$$ for the Memory Card. It's called real life.

Twenty five plus years ago we didn't have cards.

Your parents must be pretty harsh to not let you get a MS Pro Duo for $10. Ouch.

Not without custom firmware that requires a memory card

Not IMO

Depends on how much you play.

NFS is pretty bad on PSP. Wipeout Pure/Pulse, Gran Turismo, Motorstorm Arctic Edge are the bext racing games on PSP

Everyone has different calender cycles, I got mine straight away

thanks guys for your help.

what i'm gonna do is only play gtpsp untill i get the memory card then i can slot the memory card in and save. edit: (would that work someone mentioned something about formatting the memory card to me)

about the how long to get a decent car question. how long in hours would it be to get a m3 sort of spec , or better car (doesn't have to be a m3)

Formatting the stick isn't necessary, it's comes ready as is.

As for the latter concern, you'll have watch for particular dealers every two days, check the cycle list NLx posted. 👍

It may save but then you would go into my computer -> PSP, copy the save into my documents and then format.
I don't know it might work.

if i used the usb slot and connected it to a card reader (sd card) could i save it to that or would i have compatibilty problems (corrupted data)

is that nope it won't work or a
nope it won't corupt your data and will work

is there any other solutions to save data too.

Your problem is very unique, so the ideas already outlined cover pretty much everything you can do.

You can buy a pretty decent car with the 100k starting money, I think the 09 skyline is only 170k (ish) credits and once you get S-rank you can get 100k+ out of 5 laps on a short track.

thanks guys for all your help

it should arrive tommorow.

( is anyone gonna buy little big planet psp when it comes out)
