Saving images

For some reason my computer loves to save only in bitmap files. Every time i go to save an image it saves as a bitmap, not even a jpeg or a gif. gifs save as bitmaps and jpegs save as bitmaps. I can seem to shange this either. can some one help?

When IE saves pictures as bitmaps, it is because IE has no more space on the hard drive to save it (a copy of the bitmap) as a jpeg (or other file type) and just pulls the image (the original bitmap) from the cache.

Go to Tools > Internet Options > Click on Delete Files under Temp Internet Files.
