Scientific American is a trashy tabloid magazine for pseudo-intellectual stoner idiots. There was a time, not so long ago, when it actually presented new and innovative ideas that were written by the actual creator of the idea. But now, looking over my roommate's copy, I would much rather struggle through an actual journal article than read some journalism major's dumbed-down portrayal of it.

Agreed. I used to subscribe. I cancelled beause it was too watered down for the type you so humorously describe. The same can be said of Smithsonian.
