StarLight Garage suggests automobile gems to be included in the Gran Turismo Series. The Scion FR-S Mines by GT Channel from 2015 is the 3rd and last car whish was made for the Scion Tuner Challenge (STC). This FR-S is apparently built for track racing.
Always loved the FR-S and here is the third one and last of the Scion Tuner Challenge.
Maybe a little too much, but I want all three cars together and after all this one is a MINES too. Don’t blame me, just enjoy!
This car is dedicated to my country fellow and friend CBarbosa.
GT Channel, who are known for having strong ties to famous Japanese drivers and tuning shops, are also part of the Scion Tuner Challenge 2014 at the SEMA Show, alongside Super Street and Speedhunters.
With these connections, you’ll know that they’ll be able to bring the heat, and GT Channel president, Taro Koki, has called on his long-time friends at Mine’s to help bring their Scion FR-S to life. Mine’s Tuning will help Taro and GT Channel build a car that is inspired by theScion FR-S Release Series 1.0.
“First off, it’s crazy that Scion gives these cars out for people to build and compete with at SEMA,” says Taro, “And they’ve been doing it for 10 years. It’s a great program, and to have your own car out there with a chance to win is a goal to strive for.” And while Mine’s isn’t the first tuning shop that comes to mind when it comes to building a Scion (they’re known mostly for tuning Nissans), that won’t stop GT Channel from creating a Mine’s FR-S. “It’ll be functional,” adds Taro, “We’ll take out things that don’t need to be there, and we’ll be working with some of Mine’s partners who will be developing parts specifically for this build.” Functionality over show is exactly what they’re going after, and GT Channel is preparing to take their competitors down in Las Vegas.
