New This Season

- Permanent Driver Lineup Per Series (10 total drivers per series)

- Individual points and individual champion per series

- Consolation points for 1 race. If you can't make a race, you will receive points for a last place finish behind everyone in each race that is held. If more then one driver misses the same week's race both are given the same last place points of each race. Only given for one race missed per driver. Also, instead of receiving just 3 points for being put into a different race then other drivers in your series, you will receive last place points for the race you missed.

- The car used for the first Race of the season will be the TVR Tamora '02, chosen by last season's Driving Champion KumaBar. Car used for the Daytona Speedweeks is TBA due to constantly changing online events

- At the end of the season the lowest scoring 4 of the cup series will move down to the Nationwide Series.

The 2 highest scoring drivers from the National series will move up, the 2 lowest scoring will move down to Craftsman and will not be elgibil for the next season's Gatorade Duels.

The 2 highest points scoring drivers from Craftsman will move up into National.

At this point The Cup Series should have 8 drivers.

The National Series should have 12 drivers. The series started with 10 drivers, but lost 2 to Cup, another 2 to Craftsman, gained 4 from Cup, and gained 2 from Craftsman. The 12 drivers will then be split up evenly for next season's Gatorade Duels to see which 2 drivers can race their way into the Cup Series.

- Points will remain the same,

1. 10
2. 7
3. 6
4. 5
5. 4
6. 3
7. 2
8. 1

=====================================

The last 2 spots of the 10 driver rost must be won in the Gatorade Duels. Top 8 in points from last season race in the All-Star Bud Shootout with nothing on the line except bragging rights

I'm definitely interested in participating, however I have some summer travel coming up that will throw a monkey wrench in the works.

I'll be traveling (and unavailable) on the following Saturdays:
7/19 (before event)
7/26
8/2
--> present 8/9
8/16

Don't hold up the series on my account however. Just fit me in once I get back.

I'd like to def sing up for this one I love the nascar inspiered names and set up! one question how are we gonna race at daytona other than on STD phyisics witch is blahrf just no feel. but I guess we just got to deal with what PD is giving us ATM so I m def up for anything.

o and if anyone hasnt thought of it the blitz is a blast at daytona!

Nice job of putting these series together Earth. I know everyone has a blast participating in them. I however am going to continue to wait for private rooms to race in your events.

I will in the meantime be opening a tuning garage in the next couple of days. My focus will be to follow this event series and post tunes for the selected cars of each race. As well as other events that may pop up such as Cuda's A.M. series etc.

I will be watching this series with great interest.👍

Not a problem at all. You'll only miss 2 points paying races and one of them won't be so bad with the new 1 race points consolation rule.

Nobody should ever feel any pressure at all to particpate in this series, if you sign up and miss several races or just drop off the map due to lost of interest no problem, this is just for fun.

good job who ever picked that TVR what a beautiful car to drive!

We'll have to deal with whatever they give us. Hopefully a 600pp expert Daytona race will arise again. I've driven the TVR around the oval and it handled really well.

I understand your decision, I started this several months ago to try and breathe life in GT5P online knowing that it wouldn't be perfect, but would give me and others a chance to race GTP drivers regularly and take a break from the punt world.

Hopefully, by the time this season ends we will have private rooms and drivers from every country will be able to race eachother in the private rooms.

I was messing with the set up ay 600 fuji and wow I had never driven the car before and I just love it right up there with the 02 viper as one of my fav cars to drive in the 600PP class. Im glad it was choosen other wise I probably never would have driven it and missed out on a great car!

Well, I don't know jack about racing on ovals but I'm in. I must say though, I hope we don't make oval racing a too common occurrence.

Ravenmaven,I can't believe that I have finally found someone eles from Regina.:cheers:Nice to know I'm not the only on from "The Land of the Living Skies"👍

LOL..."The Land Between Manitoba And Alberta". Cheers. :)

Edit: There's not too many people our age here either.

If I had it my way we wouldn't race the same course twice in a season

1. Dayona Speedway
2. Fuji
3. High Speed Ring
4. Daytona Road
5. Suzuka
6. London
7. Eiger Norwand
8. High Speed Ring Reverse

But that is impossible because PD keeps herding us like cattle into the mainstream online events, 750pp Suzuka etc etc

There may be some standard physics racing at an original track to keep things fresh if PD decides to cut back our food supply even further

Earth, excellent job on last season. I truly enjoyed all the events. You've done a awesome job of setting all this up! And, thank you for holding a spot open for me.

Unfortunately, there was one "racer" in the last event that seems to feel that this is a full contact sport. So, I'm afraid I'll sit this one out. Hopefully, someday, PD will sort out how to properly apply some meaningful rules and penalties.

Again, thank you, Earth, for taking such a strong interest in trying to make this fun for everyone!

Wow, I didnt notice that. Maybe 'cause it was me? Anyways, thats no reason to quit. your quite too fast to be bothered by such tactics on a regular basis. Please reconsider.

No, definitely not you, nor anyone I normally race with. Anyone who drives to generally avoid contact (and we all have the occasional bump or rub or even punt, because it's close racing) need not worry about my opinion. It was clearly repeated, intentional, rough driving, the sort of thing most of us try not to do. I apologize for bringing it up, I should have just opted out.

Guys, I don't know if I can run season 2 right now

My new job has me working Monday-Saturday 6am -3pm

Also, PD has been severly limiting the online events so the odds of us getting into a relatively empty race even on Saturday mourning has become low.

I may have to delay this season until we get private rooms so I can run this in the evenings again.

Nice! Need to find a job myself. As for season 2, maybe you can let someone else take over for the points awarding or just let others post the positions of the race and whenever you have the free time you can add the points up. Reason I say that is that I doubt that we will get private rooms in the near future or at all.

Ahh, I missed getting into the Cup series by one lousy spot... Oh well. :D

I won't be able to compete at all after August 16th, but count me in for now. This tournament is a lot of fun even though I'm not competitive against the best racers. Glad to see you've refined it more, Earth.

Those are bad news, :( I think we can get something working here, if you need help in anything you can count on me, for starters.
