Yesterday, I downloaded the UK version of GT5TTC (Yep, just made up a new name for it), tried it, and well, it refuses to even let me try it. It says my TV cannot support :grumpy:...HD (explain GT5P then, PD). So while all the rich kids had fun with their G25s and HD TVs, us poor kids (ironically with a PS3) had to stare at this message into our SD TVs, still holding a controller, and hoping to get a mediocre Driving Force GT for Christmas :guilty:.

Questions:
Is the US version out?

If the answer to the last question is yes, does it support SD?

Yes and Yes.

The EU version doesn't support the US SD standard. SD TVs in EU and the US use different standards.

Even some HDTVs in the EU still only run at 50hz.

Hint: Don't buy a HDTV that can't do 60hz or higher if you live in the EU or other PAL regions (don't know about Australia and NZ).
