There is no way I'm going to be able to swing that then.:banghead: I was hoping to be able to afford it but don't think the wife will go for the price of another game:lol:

Porsche pack DLC???

$50 is quite a bit to swallow. I mean I'm getting the normal version of FH, not even LCE and I'm all for a season pass but I don't think I'm biting on any DLC for FH.

Holy ****. Considering how amped I am for this game they must be insane to ask that much, because I'm not impressed. :indiff:

What's the standard DLC price structure then?
4000MS / 0.83 = 4820MS​
If the car packs are $7 and the expansion is $15:
(560 x 6) + 1200 + 130 + 130 = 4820MS​
If the car packs are $6 and the expansion is $20:
(480 x 6) + 1600 + 170 + 170 = 4820MS​

These are just wild guesses, but in any case they're implying an 820MS difference. Are the "launch bonus" and/or "other" cars included with the LCE? If so, you could spend the same money if you decide just one of the packs is a dud.

820 = (560 + 130 + 130)
820 = (480 + 170 + 170)​

That doesn't seem worth it to me.
 
Well the Forza team has always listen to there consumers... so guys if your listening, KNOCK IT OFF!
 
I'm sold. I'll buy it all anyway, so I might as well make a saving. I won't be buying any other game this winter, either.
 
I will buy it, only if the expansion pack adds, at least, 50% more roads of the current map. But I fear the expansion pack will be porsches, and new modes, beside cars DLC. In that case I will skip any DLC.

It's getting pretty nasty with this DLC thing, cutting content from the original game. I understand that some content is created while game is being approved, and produced, and that does make sense to be day 1 DLC.

All this Dan's talk about turning car lovers into gamers and vice verse is just saying we need more money from ignorant people. It's just too greedy for my taste, even though I can afford it, but I refuse to be treated as a fool.

Or the one how buys without knowing what's inside. As I said if it contains new map, than it's worth the money, otherwise it's value is non existent. Car pack that will probably be copy/pasted from F4.

What is this expansion pack!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? What is so secret about it, is it the same as in F4, "Porsche expansion pack", so basically more cars, or T10 wants us to buy it without knowing what is inside, so they can screw us. Paying upfront without knowing what your are paying for is a tax for fools.

Give me all the details about season pass, and then I can decide if it's a good value for money or not.

When are we loyal Forza fans getting something new for free!? Never, i guess. I never pays to be loyal :-(

Wow, 50 bucks is a bit on the steep side for me. I doubt I'l go for the car packs this time around, so I'd rather wait and see what the Expension Pack is like...
 
It would be a big surprise if the expansion pack is Porsche, when EA has Most Wanted on sale over the same festive period as Horizon. Without a direct sim rival last Christmas, EA still made T10 wait till May for the expansion pack.

Hopefully you'll be right :-), it wont be Porsche, but additional, large portion of the new map with exciting roads to drive.
 
Still not sure if I'm buying this.
Having said that adding a bigger portion to the map as a download only splits the online community. I hope it isn't a map expansion. Tbh.
 
I'll wait untill I have played alot, still not sure this is a keeper or I'm done with it in a few months (probably)...
 
One nice thing about this is that T10/PG are straightforward about how much DLC they have planned and what we can expect. If this game is as good as it looks I'm pretty sure I'll end up getting 90-100% of it, but there were enough DLC cars on FM4 that didn't interest me that I'm just gonna play it by ear this time.

In the future, when these things are all identified, this could easily be a worthwhile deal.

It has been confirmed that Porsche will not appear in Horizon as a DLC.
