Ok, so what's the deal with this event? I bought the right Mustang and dialed it in as close as I could get to the max horsepower/min weight and attempted the race. Now, I'm not a huge gamer, but I know this track well and I can race it well. After the first lap, I was 25 seconds behind the leader, at which point I exited and kicked myself for spending all those credits for a total POS. How in the world are you supposed to win this one?

Get a good tune & maintain 1.41 sec laps & you should pass for the lead on the corkscrew on the last lap . I am not the best driver & use the controller & if I can do it anyone can .

Yeah alot of these events are designed so you don't overtake the leader until the last lap. It's like the 1 or 2 lap licenses where you catch up with the leader in the last few corners of the lap, same principle, but in a longer race with a car you have to tune yourself. 👍

Didnt really have alot of trouble with this one others are harder does seem righ that the leader is caught close to the last lap

Just did this one about an hour ago. First of all, I cant beleive how much of a pig that car is in the game, nothing like its real-life counterpart. Even the Standard 05 Mustang GT is quicker. Anyway, get the hp to the max, weight as low as possible. Most importantly, get the adjustable sport suspension and lower the car, this helps greatly with the handling and body roll. Lastly, get a full custom tranny and set top speed to ~ 140 or so. Helps acceleration immensely and you should be catching the lead car before the corkscrew on the last lap. Almost forgot, turn off all aids except ABS 1. The other will slow this boat down a lot and its so slow you dont need any of them anyway. Good Luck.

from what I can tell, after golding a few of the seasonal events, using DS3, you really don't have to spend all that much on expensive tuning parts.... I've just gone with the 6 speed transmission, Adjustable Sports kit, Clutch Twin plate, Flywheel Semi-Racing, Sports air filter and the likes to get the right HP, on all of my cars... The only time I didn't gold it, was at the Ford RS event, only managed silver there, where I had the full tuning setup going on.

I just race the 5-10 laps real hard.... just like Bob, when he's in the red.

And on the Laguna, for now, I got the silver... I was 5 secs. behind the winner and with some more practise, I can gold it. I all comes down to how you take the corners, that's where you win the events.

I found that one to be one of the easier ones of the bunch to be quite honest and im just your average player, unlike the ford focus one which i cant do any better than 2nd.

You know if you want to go even faster you can turn ABS off as well ;)

Wow, great responses - thanks everybody! I will give this another shot. Although, I am very disappointed to learn that this is one of the easier ones. :(

Make sure you are using sports hard.
The mustang comes with comfort soft.

When I discovered that I won pretty easily, while with confort softs, all I could achieve was 3rd place.
