Anyone have tunes for these races yet?

I'll post the requirements and car restrictions here....woohoo! two challenges in less then a month! Keep em coming Kaz!!

Min Weight: 1210kg

Ford Focus ST
Max HP: 221
Min Weight: 1430kg

I bought the Jeff Gordon car just for this event. Saw it had 824 HP and decided an oil change would probably bring it up to the 850 HP of the challenge. Nope, try 865

So now I'm trying the NASCAR event to try and wear the engine down sometime in the next century!

I bought a new RX7, 393 hp, 1100 kgs and got my ass handed. I wonder if i need a set up or if i should try with a lighter RX7 (from 1990..).

The 2001 Bathurst and 2002 Spirit R are the fastest RX-7s in the game that are legal for the race. It seems that it is impossible for anyone but absolute aliens to beat it without skid recovery on; and with it on, it becomes a walk in the park.

Try this for a basis for the Mustang, obviously everything added that can be etc. Could do with a little bit of tweaking (it was created in about 10 minutes), but I went in to first place on lap 4 using this set up.

The 1990 RX-7 is too slow. Fully tuned I was still almost 5 seconds a lap too slow after a few laps practice and tweaking the tune. I could get maybe another 2 seconds from perfecting the tune and with more practice but I'll never find 5 seconds a lap with that car.

Great thread. That Rx7 race is a pain. I got second without skid recovery. After work I'm gonna try this skid thing everybody uses.

Thanks, this worked for me 1st try 2nd, 2nd try first, with tranny at 130 and cuttin some corners at the right spots I won by 4.5 seconds. 👍

I don't know how anyone uses the Spirit R because this car pretty much goes dead from each turn. Its as if your racer needs to get out and jumpstart the damn thing it accelerates so horribly.

If you get all golds in the Jeff Gordon Special Event you win a NASCAR. Just don't change the oil as that gives it too much HP, learned that the hard way.

According to the people in the tuning forum the NASCAR event easy. Yeah right... I've got a better chance of having a threesome with Katy Perry and Lady Gaga at my house tonight. Because after using every driving aid possible I could only finish 6th and it felt like the car was a verge of crashing constantly.

For me Bonus Race #1 had the perfect difficulty, sure the Fiat race was a challenge but in the end I won it. However (so far) Bonus Race #2 so has been INSANE. I barely squeaked out a win with the Mini now I read the RX-7 and Focus race are "hard" which means I've got no shot in hell of winning these, even with Skid Recovery Force

Gives me 393 hp and 1065kg (all lightening components chosen)

With max speed set to 220 in the tranny and with skid recovery force on, 2nd was relatively easy. Was still trailing the leader by 10 seconds at the end of the lap. Need a lighter car and this race will be a cakewalk

I cant win the RX7 at Tsukuba. I manage 2nd easily but im still 8sec off the winner pace.

you know your Aspec is way too high.... when you all gold the 2nd seasonal event and still not manage to gain a level =.=

Anyone come close to winning or win the NASCAR @ Nurburgring? I can't even come close, I finished 8th. It's impossible.
