I'm wondering when they will appear because the actual ones have ended yesterday.
Anybody has an ETA? Need to make more money :)

Yeah me too.

Network is down atm, maybe they will be up when servers are up again.

Guess something was wrong here, network seems to work again. Damn, I really was hoping for maintenance and some new events.

I don't see the reason why these seasonal events have such a short shelf life... Where I come from, a 'season' is a quarter of a year (hence the 'four seasons'!). Given that PD have short changed us criminally with regular A-Spec races (compared to GT4), why do they want to limit our enjoyment of any new events to just a few weeks?

Personally, if a patch doesn't come out soon more than doubling the regular, non time-sensitive A-Spec events, it is going to become obvious that PD have completely lost contact with what their base WANTS. And basically, going 'We don't CARE what you want, like the game or leave it' is going to make GT6 the worst selling game in franchise history.

PD should NOT be making 'seasonal events'. These races should simply be added to the A-Spec menu, which would eventually return to the number of events GT4 had.

THEN they can go to time-dependent events, should they choose.

I heard many people talking about a pop-up during the race that put an end to their race.

Hmm I will keep that in mind, I asked why because once I was in a enduro and I tried logging in to see who is online and it cancelled my race... Wasn't happy.

Yeah it's really pretty lame that there are so few a-spec events. You have to buy a car for an "event", but the event is actually a 5 lap sprint and done. That's one thing that sucks about GT5. There's so much good, but so much bad..

But you get so much credits for winning it doesnt really matter that you have to spend a few to buy the car to use in the event at least you get to keep in afterwards.

Do not agree with this.

I like the temporary events, that are surprises, that make you buy a car you might not have done otherwise and that you have to let go if you did not make it.

I do believe the idea was to get people to look for new challenges every week that can deliver more Exp points and Credits then A-Spec events, if they come in A-spec people will not have to go and look every week, so less loyal public.

Basicly what he was saying is he doesn't really have a problem with the seasonal events he just wishes that if they were going to add more content ASAP he wants them to be A-spec events and not some 1 and done events every half month or so..

But I'm pretty sure we all agree on that one!

If there were more a-spec events though then seasonal events would just be even more of a bonus but I'm definitely ready for some new events!! It's pretty sad that I haven't even played this game that much (been only game in ps3 but work long hrs) and I feel like I've almost beaten it already.. If there are 1000 cars u would think there would be a lot more events to race them in!!

Hopefully they have somethin up their sleves for us!! BRING IT ON PD!!

I never had Playstation 1 or 2, but I have pretty close to every driving game made for 3. So not comparing it to other GT's, except GT5P, but other driving/racing games on PS3, I think GT5 is by far the best. Not even close. I think Dirt2 and F1 2010 are tied for second, Burnout Paradise fourth and Motor Storm Pacific Rift fifth. I also think all the games listed are easily worth the asking price and GT5 the deal of the century. Driving dynamics are a tough thing to get right. Even with the great tracks, when you go into a 4 wheel drift in F1 2010 the car basically stops.

Would I like more? Sure! Who doesn't want more?

I wish the thread title would change. I keep having to come back to check if there is a new post relevant to new events being released :)

do you think we will get something for the Bonus races wenn you have gold and its over?
that would be great

To be honest I don't think there will be any updates to the a-spec. The way the awards, exp levels and all that work it isn't really feasible to add races to it. Which is really sad imho.

Pd could, fo course, add more events into the arcade mode. The event generator (single race) can produce some nice short races at times. Of course they are more like overtaking challenges than real races but still doing 1 lappers on nordschleife and passing 15 cars in one lap is fun if you try to do it without touching other cars and trying to drive gentlemanly. Add arcade mode a-spec 💡:).

As for more seasonal events... I'm disappointed they didn't add them once per week like I assumed when they added the 2nd ones. I think 5 events per week (plus the TTs and the driftings) is the minimum content-wise. It is enough for the average player for one week to get them done. Not necessary to get gold in all still do them all.

I also think the seasonal events are great because the way they are not tied to the a-spec pd can make the much more challenging without having people self igniting themselves on the forums about the difficulty of the a-spec.

EDIT: just to add. I think pd just as everyone else is entitled to spend christmas home with their families and friends. Gt5 and work comes always second.

I dont care when they update, just fix the stuff that doesn't work for good, like saved settings, blahblahblah......

Title of this post is galactically misleading, thanx bro! I think they need about 20 seasonal events at a time, most players weren't challenged by a-spec part of game except a few tiny portions, and many like me won't do b- spec or endurance. (Not coaching material, don't want to burn out doing laps in one car) So come on PD! Bring the pain! Seasonal events are best challenge yet IMO.

Perhaps if you had played the first 4 you'd understand why a lot of us are miffed. Sure gt5 has a lot but, compared to earlier incarnations, it's barely even a demo.

Yeah except it wont because most people enjoy the game. They're not hardcore they play the game how they like it and couldnt care less of more event etc.. I know some casual gamer and they all like it very much, actually lots of them bought a wheel to play it and I even have some friends who bought a cockpit for it.

There's always people complaining, always will be, that's life.

And I dont agree about the demo compares to other GT's title. Ok there's less event than on GT3/4, but that's the same for all game, there wasnt online on GT3/4 tho so you gain a lot of replay value online. At least for me, I always have fun online, either doing limitation room (400PS/1000kg), 300/1200, or even the same car racing. I just wish they put more car into the online selection cars. And seasonal event will make it goes ahead of GT4 in a while, at least I hope.

Disagree. While the past 4 may have had more events and were possibly better thought out, the amazing physics alone make this game stand way above the rest for me. This is the first time I've felt it was a "driving simulator." it's still not perfect, but you can't say this is a demo compared to the rest.
