Seasonal events availability could be extended?

I haven't played GT6 in some time so fired it up last night, only to find that there are still just 3 races, two time trials and two drift trials actually available to play, along with seemingly many events still showing but no longer available. I can understand keeping the events up when rankings are closed but why do they still show when you can't try them at all?

With less seasonal updates nowadays would it really be an issue for PD to keep perhaps 2 "sets" of events available to play at any one time? In other words 6 races, 4 time trials and I guess 4 drift trials (though I'm not a fan of the latter personally!)

It would be nice. GT5 having the events open for long periods was great. I miss the handicap bonus too.

I'm pretty sure the way it currently is is NOT the way it normally is, and it's going to go back to normal pretty soon.

Basically, it got screwed up (temporarily) because of the holidays.

The normal way it works is that they release two new time trials at the EXACT moment that the previous time trials ended. So, once every 28 days, a new batch of time trials comes out, and you can still attempt the old ones for another 28 days, but no longer able to have your time improve higher in the leaderboard rankings (only in the new ones, until the 28 days are up on those ones, and so on and so forth).

Ditto for the A-spec events.

However, with this current batch, it got all weird and not the way it normally is, because they released several special "Holiday" events, and then they forgot to release the normal scheduled events, and they made the availability settings totally different for these Holiday events compared to how it normally is for the normal cycle of TT's and A-spec events.

So, basically if my calculations are correct, it is scheduled to go back to normal about 3 or 4 days from now, at which point the new Time Trial events will come out.

The new batch of A-spec races are already back to normal, so now it's just about waiting a few more days for the normal cycle of TT's to resume as well, and then all of it will be back to normal at that point, I'm pretty sure.

So yea, just wait a few days and pretend this whole special "Holiday" disaster thing never happened, and it'll go back to normal.

for anything but to ask ... On Thursday we get new TT's ?? I get a taste and I think I can get top 50, Willow was the last thing I was good on it.
