Stock Car except for full Suspension, full Trans, clutch and flywheel. Try shedding the weight to reach the 1000kg limit.
Full Transmission: 93mph
Suspension: Full Purchased
Height: F -25 / R -15
Springs: F 5.5 / R 4.0
Damp Ext: 5 / 5
Damp Com: 3 / 3
Roll: 1 / 1
Camber: F 0.5 / R 1.5
Toe Angle: F -0.20 / R -0.10

Still 3.5 sec away from victory :(

I found you can push the 500 a lot harder than you think, if you're a fair bit away still it might just be that you've not found the limits in certain areas.

I can't see the vid above at the moment for some reason but I expect if you have a watch the driver is full throttle for most of the circuit! From what I remember you only need to brake for the hairpins, all the other corners should be taken at full throttle. You can let tyre scrub wash off a bit of speed on the last corner so you don't end up understeering off 👍

I saw that suggested and tried it but went back to either stock transmission or fully customisable, but default setting. Extra speed is a great benefit on the last section and start/finish straight.

I would also suggest turning most if not all of the driving aids off too for this one.

If I remember correctly, i set my trans to a top speed of 83 and it worked great. Just kissed the redline on the straight before needing to brake. This event was quite easy to be honest. Just need the right setup.

Actually you can win the race without any modification.
Buy a brand new one and directly enter the race.

Yep, agree with this... all I did was to change the clutch and flywheels to get a bit more acceleration and then on my first attempt tried to drive smoothly which only got me as far as 3rd.

I then realised during the race that I could be far more aggressive through the corners apart from the hairpin and so on my 2nd attempt I managed to pass the leader about three quarters through the final lap

Another good mod is to adjust brake bias to match real car setup unlike the 50/50 split that's default
Front: 8 (80%)
Rear: 2 (20%)
And a sports air filter if applied before the oil change takes power to exactly 65bhp.

Nice vid Kingpin, i have not attended this race yet, will do it when i have the time.
Little agressive when you took over the mercedes at the hairpin:)

What I found helped was taking the hairpins a gear higher than necessary and the last sweeping right in 5th and flooring it the whole way, then back to 6th just before it straightens out.
