* Another design expression of SEAT’s sporty, dynamic image

* SEAT Design director Luc Donckerwolke has also created Michel Vaillant cars

* At the Vaillante’s heart lies a 1.8 turbo petrol engine pumping out 240 hp

The SEAT Ibiza Vaillante is a comic-book hero fantasy come true. It was created by the SEAT Design Centre in Martorell, whose aim was to suggest the driver of a fictional car could be transported to a make-believe world and participate in the most unexpected adventures. For this reason, SEAT does not plan to manufacture a production model Vaillante, or to sell one in the future. Quite simply, it is a virtual car inspired by comic-strip fantasy for this motor show only, whose mission is to highlight SEAT’s sporty and young image, while also enhancing the launch of the new Ibiza 2006 range.

Bit of hold news but I really like this little hot hatch. People really rated the leon cupra R and this has as much power as it but is lighter!

Dang, that's gonna be a quick little hatch. 240hp to the front wheels eh. Sounds like a handful.

It seems it will never be made, but then again, you can buy the Ibiza Cupra 1.8T and have it modified to 240hp easily.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this just a stripped down MKV Golf (Rabbit) with attitude?

...Not that I have a problem with it, it is quite nice actually...

Not the Golf, the Ibiza is based on the Polo, the SEAT Leon is based on the Golf.

Just by a VW, rip the bodywork off, then buy replacemnt body panel's for a SEAT and ship them over. A lot of work, but then you'd almost have a SEAT.

For the money it'd cost me in buying and shipping the bodywork and etc. I might as well just import the damn car. :sly: Can I borrow $20k quid? :)

Shipping body panel's shouldn't cost that much, and it's save you thecost of having an imported car tested or approved or whatever you have to have done to them.

Thanx, I really didnt have any idea whatsoever...

Looks like an uglier GTi or something...although the blue headlights are cool. But who thought a blue pastel color would be a good idea?

I don't like the rounded c-pillar. For some reason, I thought it was an Alfa when I saw the front, then Peugeot in the back.
