Hey all - I remember reading that Mexico was a fairly large market for Seat. Can somebody tell me which Seats are shipped to Mexico, if any?

Because they are fairly nice cars and I suppose they are pretty rare in the US.

Also are they part of the VAG? (ina)
Because I swear the Ibiza is based on the Golf?

What do you want, a Cordoba, Toledo, Leon?
They look far too exciting for your tastes.
How about a nice IS300 sportcross?

Extremely rare, I have never seen one in person.

The Leon 20V T has to be one of the hottest cars in North America - I'd love one. Seat's actually got a fairly decent lineup, I'm surprised they don't sell them in this country. The Alhambra alone could at least be badged as a Volkswagen (but believe me - we'd rather have the Volkswagen Alhambra than the Volkswagen Sharan) and do really well.

I agree. Seat is starting to look like the sporty side of VW. The Leon alone looks like what the GTi was supposed to be. Heck, even Audi could learn some things from Seat with it's S/RS lineup....

Heh, if I import and drove the wicked Seat Leon Cupra R (in yellow) around L.A. everybody will stare at my car.

Yeah, Seat is VW's performance branch.

Soooort of. VAG is in the process of splitting. VW/Skoda/Bentley are moving more toward "luxury"; Audi/Lamborghini/Seat/Bugatti are moving toward "sport". There'll be a lot of platform sharing (even downright sister cars, like the Passat/A4), but there should be definite differences between the divisions. Take, for example, the VW Phaeton & Touraeg, compared to the Audi S8 & Porsche Cayenne. Nice, redundant, and market-flooding. A sure money maker....

That will be a good news, but first they should redesign the Porsche Cayenne, its hideous!
