Hi I recently got a G25 and the wheel stand pro, so I use my couch as my seat. But after about 1 1/2 to 2 hours my back starts to get really sore, I think this is due to me leaning forward constantly when it gets intense. Does anyone have any suggestions as what I can do to prevent or delay this.

To be honest, the couch is never a good idea to play long term racing games with a wheel. It will kill your back.
If you can, you might want to invest in a racing seat (POD). If you can spare the room you can play more in comfort than the couch.

You need a more solid chair with better back and leg support. Be careful about leg support though. To much and you cut the circulation to the legs so that is not to good either.

What I did, is did some research and checked our firebird. If you look, in most sports cars, the pedal contact patches are in line with the bottom of the seat. So i made my own pedal box emulating such, and added what would be a floorboard to rest my heels on, and when i get the 25 monday I'll let all know how it goes. Using the G25 pedals as a top hinge orientation.

I have played racing sims for a few years now using a reasonable quality office chair. Easy to wheel into position when you want to play, not expensive to buy & offers good support & comfort.

office chair is not the best since it´s on wheels you would have to find something that holds it down and also be able to lock it´s side to side movement. Of course you could get one of the racing inspired office chairs but I remember when I was racing that I was at severr butt pain 90 minutes in on a 2h endurance and that my braking leg would be busted for a day or two. Proper cockpit and chair can sit for 3h and not even feel tired since you are in such a better position where you are the strongest with your legs and arm action. It all actually goes back to your back and shoulders and since they are so grounded you get really strong :)

As for modelling as for in real cars well they have to make the drivers position so it suits as many as possible. And depending on how the car is constructed may have limited options. Not always they are that ergonomic.

But as for real car seats the SAABs seat are just amazing. (if it wasn´t for the leather of course why do they use that????). I have a Cobra Daytona seat I think it´s since I want the enclosed feeling. A bit to enclosed perhaps I have wide shoulders but at least their shoulder support is soft enough to give way. But you get used to it.

I can see many would preferr a more ordinary seat where you are more free to move though. Like the playseat evolution I had before had no complaints about that except for it not feeling that rock solid and having problems with pedals with stiff brake. Neck support could have been better I guess I am a bit to tall for it.
