I spent an hour to get all bronze.
Gp:
First challenge of the event, didn't know what to expect so I just drove. Next thing I know, I'm disqualified. So I figured you have to do it the right way. Second attempt, oh you can go beyond the apex, you just have to know which corners. Third attempt, finished both laps, just a few milliseconds off the bronze. Fourth one, I barely made it by .2xx I believe. I got bronze in 4 attempts because I use to practice drifting here so I know most corners.
Monzu:
It only took me 2 attempts to get bronze. I love this map because this is where I take all of people's car modification to try it. First lap is okay, behind by 3 seconds off the bronze. Second lap, bam! Made all the brake adjustments and finished 5 seconds early for the requirement to get bronze.
Suzuka:
Ohhhhhhhh my god. I probably took about 20 mins to finish the first two, then over here.... it took me around 30-45 mins just to get bronze.
first couple of laps, I knew that I'm in a tough challenge. Kept losing traction on the apex for the first couple of turns. When I finally mastered it, it took me forever to get a good time on what it seems like 2 hairpins. Kept going at it until I got frusrated because of the first 3-4 turns I'm back to losing traction. Took a break then bam, I finally managed to complete 2 laps.
Yes I was happy, but guess what?? I'm 8 seconds slower than bronze. Didn't know where I need to make adjustments, but I managed to find them. Took another try after a 5 mins break, then there it is. Got bronze with just .3xx to spare.
Btw, all aids are off except for abs set to 1. Used logitech g27. I just wished that it had 7 gears on the shifter and the clutch is usable. I understand that it has to be paddle shifter because the monster is more electrical than mechanical. Looking forward to get silver the next time I go for it.
