You must have knowledge of posting polls with images and basic forum code knowledge. Those interested please PM me. It's just not as fun anymore, and I need more time for things.

As for this week, I will be posting the poll along with next weeks thread and poll. If I am unable to find someone, this competition will be over and someone will have to start a new one or something.

I started this thread three months or so ago, but this time is serious and what's going on in my life is more important.

I don't want the oldest compo ends here
so please someone help slick6

It'd be sad if this one went away as well, i'm already doing a tribute to kenny's muscle car comp with my minicar comp, i hope someone could step up to the plate and save this one!

I have selected Brock5000 as the new operator, please treat him kindly and help him out as not everything will be perfect right away.

Great choice! Welcome Brock. I am sure that you won't miss a step. And to Slick6, a big 'Thank you!' for the work that you have done making this contest run as smoothly as it has!

Congrats Brock.

. I would have gladly stepped up but i have other commitments that will take up much of my time here.

Thank you for all your hard work Slick. It wouldn't have been possible without you.

You have my full support Brock, I'm confident that you'll do a great job just as slick has done this far

Congratulation Brock
I think you will do a great job

slick6 > will you still able to update Hall of Fame?

Yes, I'll be here on the weekends for sure to update stuff and maybe participate once in a while, but week day time is going to be very limited. Thanks everyone and I hope that everyone can make this enjoyable for Brock as you have for me.

I wonder if Brock is going to change the rules any to suit the entries?

Even for Week 28 I notice that there is still the rule of changing basically just brightness and contrast.

Of course almost nobody seems to be adherring to that, almost every picture has had stuff done to it - you won't win unless you do (generally)

So - is Brock going to keep the same rule that many don't observe?

I certainly don't plan to change anything around, although I might try to word that part of the rules a little more strongly.

However with the Advanced Photomode competiton taking off in a big way, hopefully people will use that as an outlet for their photoshop skills and resist the temptation to try to gain an unfair advantage in the PMC comp.

There's a lot you can do with just brightness & contrast + the WB & other settings in photomode that you really shouldn't need to use anything more to get a great shot. If you feel someone has overstepped the mark then by all means bring it to my attention, but it would be a shame if if this comp decended into accusations of cheating - I have to deal with enough of that in a pc game forum that I admin.

I certainly won't point any fingers - I mean SO many pictures have been sharpened or have glow on them and it's completely obvious. I'm not saying that I don't, I'm saying it's kinda odd that the rule is still there.

Maybe I'm just naive then but I did not think there was that much cheating going on. :nervous: The problem of course is it's pretty impossible to prove you are NOT cheating - the original image proves nothing as who can say it really is the original. :indiff:

gl with "real life" slick... and thanks for everything.

and if anything was going to be changed rule wise... why not just say that only completely unaltered photos can be in. Since now the advanced comp is here to get the photo-enhancing itch out of everyone's system.
