Well September is nearing and I will be able to run one of my series again if people want to participate. The next question is which series do you want to do? A couple of them will recieve some changes like GT and Grand Prix. I'm going to try to put a limit of 15 tracks per series period.

Well I voted GT, but JGTC is fine as well; as long as the championship isn't to long I'll compete. 10-15 approx 5-10 lap races would be ideal.

Also in the GT and Grand Prix series I would limit it to just one class of cars. If those series win then we need to pick the class of cars to be used.

Although I'm currently overloaded with college studies I would be very happy to contribute to this poll since I'll grab GT4 again once I pass my exams in following September :).

JGTC cars are more balanced which gives us chance to have close battles and that's the strongest forte for such series, hard to oppose that. However, if BH-21 can fix problems with divisions and vehicle distribution currently present in GT series this would be much better option, at least for me who likes LM GT1/2 machines and adores season 1995 of LM history :P.

It sounds like a good Idea. You should do it. I don't want to steal someone elses thunder.

If you want a decent template for hosting the event. Matej made a good one for the single endurance events we've been running, both THC118 and I have used it. I'm sure he will not mind, if you ask nicely and promise your first real life car and stuff like that. :)

Why does he want me to promise my first real life car? I'm only 15

Also, would it be a good idea if I talked to Jordan about having a GT4 sub-forum thing for events?

Its a joke and reference to the classic fable of Rumpelstiltskin. Funny you don't look 15 from here. :)

You could if you want, but I doubt he will see the need as the events we are running are about the only thing keeping the main GT4 thread from being completely dead.

You can take my template if you want Petrolhead1, I really don't mind. I just need to add you to my debtor list along with BH-21 and Thc118 and then we're done :P.

Ask Jordan if you want but I don't think he will pronounce green light for that, primarily due to reasons that BH-21 stated.

Well I MIGHT just take you up on that Matej, I'll get a poll up tomorrow to see if people want a historical championship, then I'll carryon from there if it's popular

I've never seen half of these people race, but if we can get 11 drivers for a series then I'm all for GT racing.

I'll be "pleasantly" surprised if even half the non regulars show up, though I'm not sure why you'd vote on a poll if you have no intention of competing in it.

Hello again, I couldn't find the appropriate place for following topic, so I decided to place it here, where we used to have a discussion about possible events.

Anyway, I have found some free time to create another challenge regarding tuned Kei cars but with enhanced score system that would create total balance between competitors, no matter what car they pick. This is important since we have many K-cars that are quite uneven when it comes to speed and handling, despite the fact that all of them are based on same rules (64 hp, 660 ccm...).

Instead of using the best total time figure to score points you would be forced to coplete specific amount of lap in Race Meeting mode but you would receive time penalties depending on how your target laps are consistent. Here is a example:

Target laps: 2nd /4th (race contains 7 laps, for example)
Honda Beat: 0'49.878 / 0'49.793 = + 0'00.085
Daihatsu Move: 0'53.549 / 0'53.578 = +0'00.029

In this case, winner is Move because despite his obviously slower lap times he was more consistant between laps, so he earned less penalty seconds.

To sum up, you could pick whatever car you want and since you wouldn't know what the target laps are, you would pe proned to run the whole event with as much consistency as possible.

I need at least two more drivers in order to start this, so if you're interested just post here.

P.S. I apologize for filing the thread with off-topic question.

It sounds interesting. I'm in.

As for posting here it was a dead thread, might as well use it for discussing things to do.

Ok, I'll create a challenge in a next 48 hours. Glad to still see some interest for GT4 after all this months. :)

As a side note, I thought about putting 6/8 small circuits and ability to pick two cars per driver but only one car per 3/4 circuit - this would give us some strategy elements like, choosing most consistent car for this and that track, depending on the conditions. Races will be 5-10 minutes long without an enduro (unless, you guys want it - I don't have anything against that :)), and cars will be strictly from K-class only.

Just one question, would you like 6 circuits (2 cars per driver, one car for 3 circuits) or 8 circuits (again, 2 cars per driver but one car per 4 circuits) ?
