Who needs a xbox? I gotta PS3!
I'm having a serious problem with my G27 wheel in NFS Shift.
It loses it's calibration during a race & I have to hold the wheel in a left turn to go straight.
I have to unplug the USB cable after each race to re-calibrate the wheel but it loses the calibration in every race, online & off line!
This problem never occurred with my DFGT wheel & it's only happened in NFS Shift.

Well it looks like it's happening with all my games!
I just tried it with Supercar challenge & DiRT2 & it's doing the same thing.
The last time I used it with those games it worked fine but I've been playing a lot of NFS lately so that's where I first noticed the problem.
I'ts going back to Best Buy tomorrow & honestly I may just stick with my DFGT wheel a while longer, it works with all my games & it's made for the PS3.
I really like the G27 but I may just wait till March & see what new wheel will be released with GT5.

You may be having this problem:

which I eventually fixed by applying tape inside the motor. However, as your wheel is new it shouldn't be having this problem. Return it for a new one.

I'll be returning it tomorrow!
However I don't think I'll get another one.
While I loved the quality & feel of the G27 it wasn't exactly PS3 friendly!
I may just have to wait for the GT5 wheel.

Well I changed my mind.
After I packed up the G27 I put the DFGT back on the stand & started playing Supercar challenge.
I'd only had the G27 a week but damn the DFGT felt like a toy!
So instead of getting my money back I brought home a new G27.
Now if this one messes up too I will return it for a refund & wait to see what comes out with GT5!

Hi
I have exactly the same problem with my PC on Vista 32 bits for rFactor, Need for Speed **** and RBR.
Would be very helpful to know if TheMoose has no more problem with his new G27

thanks for help

I've had no problems so far with my replacement G27.

The question is: are the problems hardware or software related? The de-centering sounds like a known problem with the G25s, but I don't know how common it was within a few weeks of owning the wheel.

Recently started having a problem with my G27 (its just over 2 months old)

Computer comes on, it calibrates as usual, check it and the calibration is off, either to the left or to the right slightly, which means when its straight in games i'm turning corners.

Originally i was able to fix it by unplugging it and replugging it in, but now it seems even when it calbrates properly it knocks itself out as soon as the force feedback kicks in to do anything.

No idea how to fix it, if its software or hardware related, going to be disapointed if i have to send this back.

Edit : just realised how old this thread was :embarrassed:, sorry for necromancy.
