Ok so tonight I tried to set up a lobby to practice for the race this weekend that I'm in and everytime I tried to make a lobby it would lock on the set-up screen and the only way I could get the PS3 to boot again was to power cycle it.
I then tried to make an arcade race, which also crashed in the menu's. I tried playing it offline (not connected it to PSN) but that did nothing.
So with little other option I deleted all the install data and re-downloaded everything. After doing this I fired it up to be presented (after patching to 1.04) the home screen with no icons, I have all the menu options but zero icons. I clicked on the arcade race button only to have the menu dissapier. I'm now looking at the background animation cycle with the 'Start' menu button promt in the corner but I'm not able to do anything.
Qutting the game simply crashes the PS3 and brings it to a black screen, again requiring me to power cycle it to boot.
Please, if anyone can help me I'm at a loss... I don't know what else to do... I'm using;
Fat 40GB PS3 (that until tonight played every game I've asked of it without issue)
Collectors edition GT6 Disc UK version
Thanks
Ok so, if anyone else runs into this problem... turns out you fix it by simply playing another disc based game... I don't even-
