I may feel really stupid but, where is the fuel gauge? I was going to do a 30 lap race around Le Mans and would like to know so i don't run dry. lol

Don't worry about running out of fuel in Forza.;)
The test I did shows that the Ariel Atom burns fuel at a rate of about 10.6 miles per gallon. I'd say it's a concern so long as you pick more than the 2 laps you're bound to see in career mode.

Edit: Updated to fix my derp statement about mileage.

Surely you mean miles per gallon and not gallons per mile, yes?

That said, sounds much improved on FM4s 10 laps on nurburgring =/= less than half a tank.

I blame it on the alcohol. I knew something looked wrong when I was typing that

13 laps in an atom round lemans you run out of fuel ;)
I know, I was just being facetious. It's just that T10 have been infamous for their fuel efficiency in past games.

I don't mean it's unrealistic, it just cuts into the strategy (and fun) on short races.

No worries. I'm just glad to see it's in. Too bad they couldn't work it into the actual career. One can wish that of the 3 expansions, one of them is a realistic "race" expansion, pit-strategy, flags, and all...

I've just completed 8 laps on Spa in the Lotus E21 and the fuel barely budged, makes sense on the E21 though as the Belgian GP is 44 laps long but I think even the F1 car is getting 10mpg :P

It seems they are simulating the weight-saving effect of burning off fuel.

When I run my Honda DW12 on 30 laps @ indy, The car gets lighter as I burn off fuel, but lose speed in the corners as the tyres wear out. by the end of the race I'm hitting 227 mph on the straits, but I go down to 210-212 mph in the corners. At the start of the race, I can corner a good 3-5 mph faster.
