Sorry about the server not being available last night. Apparently, one of the back up generators at the datacenter overheated, and the emergency system in place did not function properly (it is very close to the World Trade Center, and has not been running on outside power since the attack). :(

Hopefully, everything will be working as it should now.

I hope those are good generators!
Yeah, I'm sure they've got some pretty heavy-duty equipment. :D

Click here for a little more info on the datacenter. I believe most of our U.S. traffic runs via Level(3)'s cable, which was directly underneath the Trade Center. Since that time, (from what I understand), connections have been transferred to their UUNet backbone.

Hopefully Level(3) will repair their network soon...I think it might have been a bit faster.

Gee, I dont know, if it was directly UNDER the WTC, it could be months, because of an investigation. If that was the case, they be best just routing new lines around it, if you know what I mean

Yes, I believe that's what they're doing, but I just don't know. :odd:

I just did a quick traceroute to the site, and it appears that we are going through Level(3)'s network now. Yay! :D
