Quick question....
If there's nothing to report, other than the servers being down, why create a thread for this? I ask, because I assume that when other try to log in, and get the same response, they'll know the servers are down.
So why is this here?

Supposedly the update was going to be released between 3-4 GMT. If my clock is right, it's 3:25 GMT right now.

If you've played any of the other games in the series, you should know by now.
PD uses their own clock. What yours says makes no difference. Harsh, but true.

It is here because it is Monday in Canada not Tuesday as it states about the update and therefore it would still be Feb 6th were I live. Does that answer your question Mr.Other side of the pond?

This isn't an update, just maintenance, although I won't complain if the update is early, but unlikely. So, since there's nothing yet to report....
Oh, and we're on the same side of the pond. Check the globe, you're just north of me.

It's not like we actually use those states, so Canada can have 'em.
If possible, please lock this thread, as it's just taking up space, and there's nothing to report till the update officially gets released. Likely, the News page is gonna have all that info, so a thread won't be needed then either, other than a change log (which will likely be put up by a more tenured user).

The update news was in Japanese Tweet by Kaz. It's the 7th in Japan now. So it could happen whenever this maintenance is done.

Better? Perhaps the negative tone is from expecting news, only to find that there's nothing new to report. Perhaps mommy didn't hug me enough, who knows.
I'm not the only one tired of this, though, and the unneccisary threads seem to come in spurts every few months or so. Hence why I believe all threads should need a mods approval before they're posted for all to see. Instead of this. With my negativity. Wasting everyone's interwebs. And life.
Knowing the servers are down doesn't accomplish anything. As I mentioned before, you would've found that out when you popped the game in, so we really don't need a thread until there's something new and different.
Or should I put up a thread when the servers are back up? You know, so everyone will know.
