I searched, noting came back.
I barley clipped a corner and received a black flag for cutting the course.
I pitted 2 laps later. I was told to hold for 18 seconds {Are you kidding me?}
Went in, saw no instructions. Waited for at least 18 seconds and left.
2 laps later, I'm DQed. What gives?
 
If you cut the corner you'll need to slow down to give back the time gained; that's all. Did you not slow down?
 
Most of time when you cut the corner it will tell you to slow down. The cut corner thing is very sensitive. The Daytona Road Course chicane or bus stop is very sensitive on the exit. If you get 1x for going off track then you get a penalty for cutting the corner.
 
Slow and stay slowed until it stops telling you to slow down. If you ignore that you get a stop and hold.

I did not slow enough. What about being told to pit and hold for 18 seconds ?

The 18 seconds was tires and fuel, not the penalty, next time just slow down until the blag flag disappears

When cutting a corner, if you time it just right you don't even have to slow down until the warning goes away. When I first started racing Watkins Cup I kept clipping the Bus stop and that same warning came up. I got so good at slowing down then speeding up before the warning went off the screen.

I've been playing GT5 for a long time.
iRacing is so much better. I'm working on consistent clean laps by doing Time Trials. Just bummed me out that I got DQed my 1st race.
