setting lap times for leaderboard

all of my times on the leaderboard are from online racing, in which case i get bumped into a lot or often have to slow down to avoid hitting someone in front of me. is there a mode where i can just choose the track and set my personal lap times with the car of my choice per given class?

I think Free Run mode should work.

Hot lapping in the free race menu doesn't earn you XP but it will improve your leadboard times. Alternatively you could set up a private online lobby if you really need the XP.

thanks guys. btw, how do those times work? say when i check suzuka for R1, its say something like 12h32min... and top times are like 2h43min. how do they calculate these times?

I think but I'm not too sure that if you have run a clean (no triangle) lap it will just use that time, if you run a dirty lap it will use that time + 10 minutes, and if you haven't run a time it will add 30 minutes. So maybe you haven't run on some combinations of the track?

^ Yea I think you're right. I've been misreading the times as well, as they are in minutes, seconds, and sub-seconds... not hours lol

I guess I've been running a lot of dirty laps... sometimes I run just a tad bit over the apex into the "artificial grass"... and maybe a bit more even? Tough threshold. Maybe I should just take my time and knock off a goof 8-9 minutes =)
