CS?...Counter Strike?...i am guessing

well it depends what operating sys your using....what specifically do you want help with...

In XP,

1. Ethernet RJ-45 Cable Non Crossover is needed. Plug these into each computer and the switch.
2. Then just make sure you have enabled your LAN card (Start>Settings>Network Connections>Right-Click>Enable).
3. open "My Network Places">Setup home or small Network>Run the Wizard on each computer on the network.

That is all you need to setup a network.

In CS, go to Multiplayer>LAN>Create game and your done. You shouldn't need to adjust any other settings(I think).

I'm not sure about other versions of windows. It's probably the same.

thnx for the help, though i doubt i'll have time to play anymore... and that non crossover cable, is that just a regular RJ-45?

Yes. It is also called "CAT5" cable. all a crossover cable does is allow for a direct connection between two computers without a hub/switch.
