setting up DFP

I just got DFP and gt 4 for Christmas. I had to wait this long so my wife would let me get them together

Anyway at first I didnt do so well with it, but then I remembered that I had to turn off the computer controlling my wheel spin. Now the car slides around like I expect it to. Is there anything else I need to set to make things more realistic? There used to be a main menu setting to let you select simulation tires, but I do not see that now either. I do see you guys saying you use n1-n3 tires...is that the new simulation tires? are they tires you have to buy or is there a menu for that?

If you go to the maufacturer of the car you want to equip, then go to the tuning shop. You'll see tyres as one of the options. Go in there, choose from the left-most three types. They're usually free.

You may need to put them on the car as well. You can so this using the red toolbox icon when you are about to start a race.

road tires are 'realistic' enough i think

just use the stock car
