This is where you say "Car=" and "Track=" then I sell all of my cars, get the car you need, then tweak it out on the track you call.
Sadly, I just had to start over on GT3, so for a few days or so, If your car is hard to get/ expensive, you will have to wait
[of course, If I can't get your car, you are probably better at tuning than I am, but check back anyways]
HERE GOES:
😈

Every Newbie's Favorite: The Corvette C5R:
{bought from dealer for $1,000,000 @ 620 hp}
+N/A tune stage 2 $14,000
+Super Slick tires (used for all tests) $11,and some odd
Complex String (1lap) 4'41.86 {@211mph}
Max Speed (same settings, official, no U-turn) 228.5 mph
HP after oil change (@38.6 miles) 1008
-------------------------------------------------
spring rate f=16.4 r=16.8
ride height f=55 r=55
Shock bound f=8 r=8
shock rebound f=9 r=9
camber angle f=6.6 r=4.4
toe angle f=-.5 r=.5
stabilizers f=5 r=4
-----------------------------------------
Brake balance f=14 r=12
-----------------------------------------
LSD initial f=0 r=10
accel f=0 r=40
decel f=0 r=16
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
gear ratios:
1st=3.589
2nd=2.251
3rd=1.570
4th=1.212
5th=1.000
6th=0.841
final=3.000
Auto set=48 (<---remember to set this first.)
{tweak these settings per your taste and the track}
------------------------------------------------------------------
downforce f=.80 r=.96
ASM={as always}0
TCS=10
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The above settings give you a car with agressive, yet consisent OVERSTEER. Adjust the ratios for your track.

Ask your competition if Richimoto is right for you. Side effects were mild to moderate and included: eye bulging, pants wetting, and in most cases; opponent stomping.

From a question about a "'89 miata":
Richimoto could not find the formula to convert PS to HP. So I grabbed my 'Mazda MX-5 Miata (J)' I took off the muffler and air cleaner, and took out the computer, just in case. I wound up with a:
'Mazda MX-5 Miata (J)'
+full race suspension
+port and polish
+turbo stage 2
+full race transmission
+triple plate clutch
+racing lightweight flywheel
+Full custom Limited slip
+carbon drive shaft
+super soft tires (tyres) front and rear
+stage 3 weight reduction
-------------------------------------------------
all with the same settings:
complex string(one lap)=5'01.067
Max Speed=183.0 (gearing limited... official, no Uturn)
-------------------------------------------------
spring rate f=5.0 r=3.1
ride height f=92 r=92
Shock bound f=8 r=8
shock rebound f=9 r=9
camber angle f=6.6 r=4.4
toe angle f=0 r=0
stabilizers f=5 r=4
-----------------------------------------
LSD initial f=0 r=10
accel f=0 r=40
decel f=0 r=20
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
gear ratios:
1st=2.505
2nd=1.698
3rd=1.244
4th=.956
5th=.770
6th=.650
final=4.240
Auto set=30 (<---remember to set this first.)
{tweak these settings per your taste and the track}
------------------------------------------------------------------
ASM={as always}0
TCS=5
--------------------------------------------------------------------
These settings give you a nice miata with some oversteer but a lot of 'drift' ability.

Camaro Race Car
+N/A tune stage 2 $14,000
+Super Slick tires (used for all tests) $11,and some odd
Complex String (1lap) 4'40.706{@213 mph}
{check that, I beat my Corvette's time with the Camaro…)
Max Speed (same settings, official, no U-turn) 220.3 mph (gearing limited)
HP after oil change (@22.1 miles) 993 hp
-------------------------------------------------
spring rate f=16.0 r=16.4

shock rebound f=9 r=9
camber angle f=6.6 r=4.4
toe angle f=-.5 r=.5
stabilizers f=4 r=5
-----------------------------------------
Brake balance f=10 r=9
-----------------------------------------
LSD initial f=0 r=10
accel f=0 r=40
decel f=0 r=18
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
gear ratios:
1st=3.238
2nd=2.031
3rd=1.416
4th=1.069
5th=0.877
6th=0.759
final=3.780
Auto set=48 (<---remember to set this first.)
{tweak these settings per your taste and the track}
------------------------------------------------------------------
downforce f=.70 r=.81
ASM={as always}0
TCS=10
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The above settings give you a skill weapon. If you can drive with the aggressive oversteer, and mild low acceleration understeer, this is a nice ride. You must drive it very carefully, it will spin quick! After some thought, It might work better running slicks on the front and super slick in the rear. If you don't like the low speed conering, try adding a little extra downforce to the front end.

I am officially on pause. i read a thread last night about the full custom diff's. Just when I thought I knew it all, some scientist pops up and now I have to experiment...

well that was fun, I am a little closer to perfection, but as always so much room to grow. I finally popped the 50% mark, and scored the phat oreca viper from all gold/amateur. I am busy this weekend getting my Honda(real one) out of the City Of Deer Park. The told me If I don't move it, they will. If I let them move it, well, let me just say that would suck...

Nice to see someone taking the trouble to try and help others out with settings/tuning problems Richi'. Much applause for that.

Just an observation, not a criticism; you seem to dial in an awful lot of Camber and set the Dampers up very stiff. Do you find this has a negative impact on Tyre Life?

I tend to build my set-ups with about a third to a half of the Camber's posted above and have the shocks Bound and Rebound softer too. I was wondering if you have the Camber cranked up so high to counteract the traction loss from such large Bound settings (given that a high Bound will make a car more responsive to steering input but more likely to lose grip)?

could you help me out with some settings on the nissan skyline.....i have done all the upgrades and have it up to around 1080hp......no matter what i do, i cant get it to handle like i want it to :confused:

please help

We all love the Skyline. I won a Skyline (R34) and here is what I came up with. Make sure to read the disclaimer at the bottom, and please help me get these brakes working...

Skyline GT-R Vspec II (R34-J)
one lap of Complex String: 4'41.985 @ about 216 MPH.

Spring Rate: 8.12 10.4
Ride Height: 86 86
Shock Bound: 8 8
shock Rebound: 9 9
Camber Angle: 6.6 4.0
Toe Angle: -1.0 0.0
stabilizers: 4 4

Brake Balance: 10 8

Limited Slip initial: 5 5
Limited slip Accel: 5 18
Limited slip Decel: 5 6

Gear Ratios:
I: 2.971
II: 1.925
III: 1.370
IV: 1.048
V: .865
VI: .762
Final: 3.900
Auto Setting: 42 <----remember to set this first.

downforce: 29 42
ASM(as always): 0
TCS: 0
VCD: 30%

These settings give you skyline that is quick, but does not turn under braking. My friend Sk8er had some suggestions for me on brake balance, but I have not fixed my skyline yet. Remember that these settings are for a 4WD non race skyline. If you run the Calsonic or other race prepped or other 2wd skyline, these settings are meaningless.

Braking and diff decel were set up wrong. This car lost at least 25 seconds on the complex string. Please work with the braking and decel diff/ stabilizer settings and let me know what you find out.

sorry yawl, I could not get the test forum to work, so this thread is my new lab. If you can see this picture, I did something right

I will be back very soon, I am bored with the fighting game that I borrowed, (doa2 Hardcore--nice girls, but I dont do fighting games...) and I am jonesing for some tuning...
