Just had another brain child and felt the need to start a discussion about it here. I know we can already share a limited amount of cars between accounts with friends and such, but I would like to see the ability to share entire garages between PSN accounts.

I.E. I have two GT5 accounts, and it becomes frustrating quite quickly wanting to transfer cars between garages especially with the 1 car per day trade limit. Basically you would be able to allow access to specified accounts to share garages. This would be insanely helpful for tuners, traders, drifters, etc with multiple accounts they play GT on.

When I first went online, I thought the share garage allowed other users to drive a car available in a hosts room. It would have made sense if someone didn't have a particular car to race or a test drive before adding someone to purchase/gift it.

So like Forzas club garage essentially right?

It defiantly would be a step back for the community if they didn't add some way to share cars and be able to drive them without actually owning them between friends.

GT6 really does need a way to share cars, GT5 feels like a very independent experience with no real sense of community other than sometimes desolate lounges and lobby's which contain no invite option.

I pay for Xbox Live Gold just for Forza's online features, and don't even race anyone. Even without doing a single multiplayer race, I benefit enough from the community in lots of other ways enough for me to willingly shell out the cash for XBL Gold. These are some of the areas where PD need to be taking notes.

I agree with your sentiments completely.

However the shared garage idea would be great. Much better than being able to only send one car a day to another account - what a joke that is.

The only problem I'd have with all of that would be so many people wouldn't even feel the need to play the game anymore. Without the need to earn XP or cash to buy the cars, it...well, it wouldn't be GT anymore.

Up the trade limit, sure - though effectively that would have the same effect. Maybe free share could be allowed once a player had reached a certain level. I can't see PD doing that though...
