So what's up with Sharknado ? A giant water spout that seemingly sucks up only sharks from the ocean and when it hits land it becomes a "sharknado" (a tornado full of live sharks) spewing live angry sharks everywhere causing death and mayhem ? Sounds like a winner to me ! :). Is it going to be another one of those B-movie cult classics ? Why all the buzz.....anyone watch it yet ?

My Dad just called me over to see it, so dumb...

I wonder if the people know that they can walk away from a shark on land.

LoL, though I haven't seen it yet I think the movie is such a spectacle of absolute ridiculousness that people feel the need to see it out of curiosity.

I love how sharks are a symbol for monster films they get used in ridiculous ways. It seems kind of funny at first, but usually these films don't look pretty and it will really show later on like Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus.

As another example, today I just finished watching an animated 69 minute-long movie called Gyo Tokyo Fish Attack, and basically, sea creatures ranging from fish, shark and octopus out of nowhere have these gas-powered 6-legged pods attached to the bottom side of their bodies swarm the land and kill people. Those legs have tapered ends and whenever someone gets speared, a curse is placed on them.

It was a really stupid film, I was hoping to find something funny out of it, but I couldn't. Here's the trailer if you're curious:

Just a heads up for those in Australia with pay-tv, this airs at 8.30pm tonight on the Universal channel. Love a terrible B grade movie, looking forward to it. :D

....This was pretty atrocious film. Naturally, I bought on DVD.

I still haven't seen the second one though. I hear it's even worse than the first one!! If it wasn't a crap ton of other stuff, I would have watched it already. I'm looking forward to it.

I remember watching this on freeview a while back. I think it was this. There was sharks everywhere and a bunch of people hiding in some warehouse. Pretty awful.
