sharkport/x-port query

My sharkport disc recently stop working and I can't backup my saves games no more. Should I get an x-port instead or is there something else that also compatible with sharkport as well. Would I be able to do manual code entry using x-port for gameshark2 v2 codes? :grumpy:

You shouldn't be able to find a sharkport/xport product at gameshark.com since that is the wrong company. You may be able to come across a disc(either will work) at Datel's site. But since the sharkport/xport are no longer being produced it may be difficult. Contact their customer service.

Yes to your question, the sharkport and xport are the same device, and will be compatable with your GS2v2.

Don't know if this will work but is it possible to back up these disc on blue bottom cd-rs and have it work. Or is the production process of these interact disc more complicated that what most personal PC users can make. 💡

lol, I guess Madkatz is making one now(yikes) It won't be compatable with the discs for the sharkportv2 or xport from Datel, who has stopped manufacturing them. Although you should be able to use it to open .sps files I suppose. If someone has actually purchased this device,(regardless of the warnings of game hackers) hopefully they can give us some insight.

Datel used to be "Gameshark" until they sold the name to interact/madkatz. Datel produced all of the older model gamesharks and "shark" products like the sharkport. After the sale of the gameshark name they continued to produce their lateest version products at the time under new names: the sharkport2 became the xport, and the gameshark2v2 became the Action Replay2. Since then the xport is no longer being produced, and the AR2 was replaced by the AR Max.

Oh, it's MadCatz now :dunce:

Oh well InterAct's controllers were junk, I went through about 3 of them (all with wiring issues I think) before buying mack my old Dual Force 2.

i just got a x port and it has a listing of code for GT3 how can them activated as in get the 10 trilion dollars...?

will i be able to make a usable sharkport disc or gs2v2 disc if i burn the original with a blue bottom cd-r. it would help to know how interact makes their disc so i can figure out whether this can be done or not. can anyone shed some insight on this?

wait, but black bottom cd-rs of ps1 games don't run on ps2. so this isn't an issue for interact blue bottom softwares. how do you know this will work? have you done it yourself? where the hack do i find blue cd-rs? i just need a couple and they seem to come in a package of 100 at least last i check. where can i get a smaller quantity?

freekin stupid question i have! THe disk that comes with it does it contain all the program/s needed to tranfere or do i need to buy a program to get files/cheats to work?

PS mine will arrive in about a week
