I know there's an thread about the Shelby GT500KR '68 already but it's for the coupe and I don't like the GT500KR in coupe, I rather have the ordinary GT500 '67 in coupe. So a suggesting this convertible, hope you like it :)

Its initials KR stood for King of the Road, and to back it up the mid-year 1968 KR had Ford's new 428 Cobra Jet engine with Ram Air Induction and traction-lock 3.50 rear end all standard on the KR. Plus the 428 CJ option price was cheap compared to other high performance engines available at the time. Ford called the 428CJ its "bread and butter" performance engine that all could afford. The Cobra Jet engine was very successful at the drags and was Super Stock Eliminator Champ at the 1968 Winternationals beating expensive Hemi's etc. Shelby's 1967 GT 500 had led Ford's pony car with a Thunderbird 428 engine with two Four-barrel carburetors. The 1968 GT500 used a 428 Police Interceptor with single four barrel carburetor. Then in April '68, Ford unveiled an even-hotter version of the 428 Police Interceptor (more durable engine) with better breathing heads and much bigger exhaust manifolds and called the soup'd up 428 Cop Motor the 428 Cobra Jet. The 428CJ was offered in the Mustang, Cougar, Cyclone and Fairlane models. The GT 500-KR's 428 had the same suspiciously low 335-bhp rating as other Cobra Jets, but the total torque rating of 440 foot-pounds at 3400 RPM told the real story. Shelby's KR version had diecast aluminum cast with "Cobra Lemans" proudly broadcasting Ford's FE engine family victory over Ferrari at Le Mans in 1966 and 1967.

Powertrain: 6997 cc , V8 , single Holly 4-barrel carburetor , 400 hp / 5600 rpm , 624 Nm / 3200 rpm , 3-speed atomatic

Dimensions: Length 4740 mm , Width 1801 mm , Height 1306 mm , Weight 1692 kg

Performance: Top speed 211 km/h , 0-100 km/h 6,1 sec

Was a hidden car in GT2 :)

Other suggestions of Shelby

i would love an old gt500, but in the 4 speed MT. the AAR cuda already bugs me with its AT.
And then we must put the KR from the GT500KR, with this specifications because I can only find it with automatic :P By I may bee wrong

Na it's right, I do a research of every car I suggest so I'm pretty sure that the information I lay out is right
You're going to have to share those links with me, because from everywhere else I've learned; Shelby Mustangs were never actually called "cobras".

Strange, but i can edit the title, even if I know it's right....

...They were only listed Cobra for the year you have here, so it's fine. It was listed as a Cobra K.R. due to running the famous 428 Cobra Jet engine @RandomCarGuy17. Which Ford were known for doing with many cars and naming based on engine or displacement. Boss 351 Mustang for example

I know Ford was known for doing it many cars, but I wasn't thinking that Shelby would be doing the same thing. Now that I think about it, it makes sense I suppose.

@Aero2000 Sorry, I didn't meant for you to change your title; I just wanted to make sure. It was something that has puzzled me.
