Shift lock should be removed for drifting!!!

Does anyone else who plays with a wheel that uses a clutch think the Shift lock needs to be removed?!? I CANNOT Stand that i cannot up-shift gears during a drift unless i let the RPM drop, and in some cars with lower power, you drop out of the power/torque band and lose the drift. I see people playing with the driving force pro, DFGT shifting up in video's and i say i am JEALOUS!!! I can still drift most tracks/corners but i feel i cannot push the car as hard with this ridiculous, STUPID and unrealistic shift-lock when the wheels are spinning.

Now i know it was there to make it so the people with a Wheel/Clutch would NOT have an advantage of up-shifting without lifting the throttle (power-shifting), but it really irks me that it is still there in drift trial/practice....:ouch: 👎:grumpy: CMON PD give us drifters a break!!!! 💡

A Flat shift system is needed :D

What's annoying too is that whatever advantage the clutch would give isnt there either as clutch kicks are useless on a good few cars I've tried it on.

Not sure what you mean though or maybe your getting your terms mixed up but shift-lock (locking the wheels when downshifting into corners) works very nicely to be honest

True, what i meant by shift lock wasn't the Drifting technique, but them Stopping/limiting you from up-shifting.

for example in the video below, at the 32 Second mark, i would have liked to up-shift to 3rd, but 8-10 times i will miss it. So the 2nd lap i just do the whole section in 3rd, which works, but it's not Ideal for the way i drive/drift. :guilty:
