Shifting with trigger buttons

I read in one of the reviews that manual car shifting in-game was weird, in that it was either the analog stick of the d pad which was the shifter, and not the trigger buttons like the GTs of old.

Do you think controls will be fully customizable or fixed? It would be quite bad if it weren't the case.

Seeing the link Calvin posted, preset configs should pose no problem. I've already imagined what mine will be.

I have always preferred triggers for gas and brake... just got used to it on dreamcast and even though PSP triggers aren't analog, it just feels more natural.

I was lookin at a buddies psp and it does feel weird heel toeing while down shifting while using the analogue stick.

BTW I cant stand the trigger for gas and brakes!!! i just hate it allot. It seems more natural to shift with l and r.
