Shock absorber tuning

I have a real good knowledge of suspension tuning except for this one area where I feel nearly clueless... I've fiddled with the settings a ton, searched this forum and even done some internet searches concerning real world application...

Plus I've read a couple 5+ page discussions on this very topic and still didn't feel like I have anything concrete in terms of understanding shock tuning...

Would love to here from some of our experts like Scaff, Duke, etc...
 
It's better to try it for your self, because there is different opinion for this.
If you want to stabilize bump, experiment with different bound and rebound value. If you want to neutralize handling experiment with different front and rear value.

For me, lower front give more understeer. Lowering front have the same result as lowering rear when I want to reduce rear bouncing. I will not hesitate to use 10/10 10/10 damper on 20/20 spring rate if the car still drivable.
