I'm new here, but I checked out this section a couple of weeks back and noticed very few people seem to talk about these two genres. This stuff served as the perfect escape from the shabby quality of modern music.

Here are some examples:

Last one:

Sorry about the music overkill, but I love this stuff. If anybody knows of other groups that sound similar to this I'm open to suggestions...just don't say Cocteau Twins because that is very well covered ground for me.

^Props for mentioning Wild Nothing and Beach Fossils. I love those two bands! Great C86 sounds there.

Surprised three posts have gone by and nobody has mentioned Beach House.

A bit to share..

I'll of course chime in, I'm a sucker for this stuff:

Texas Pandaa:

You can't really call everything from Lilli Line shoegaze or dreampop, but some of it is:

Hello Seahorse, proudly mexican got dammit!

More as music and memory unfolds. Great posts so far people.

Can't believe I didn't mention these in my last post.

A Sunny Day In Glasgow:

Ride:

Engineers (probably my favourite Shoegaze band right now):

I'm not a fan of Shoe Gaze music, since they sound so... "surreal" to me. But this one I always tend to come back to.

It was part of the song "Yes" as a hidden track. And plus, the band made the song under hypnosis.

The first time I watched Lost in Translation and saw this bit, damn.

Anyway, love how The Horrors went all shoegaze-y for their second (and third) albums:

Also, I quite like this from Girls' debut, it sticks out so much on that album:

I'm new here.

I built a website dedicated to shoegaze and an indie style called Janglepop.

The website is called Jangle.

So I like Brighter and the Field Mice but also the shoegaze bands, particularly Amusement Parks On Fire, they are from NOTTINGHAM, UK.

Check out my site, absolutely tons of music there...
