Frankly I'm dubious about trading cars with anyone I don't know, why is there no option to send a car to a virtual broker, then when the person trading with you sends the car you want in return to the broker only then the trade will complete.

You could also have the option to require a set amount of credits rather than a car.

Seems like a rather large oversight that such a feature does not exist.

So a broker a good idea, yes or no?

Also I apologise for posting this in 2 sections, but at the time I did not have the 100 posts required to post here in the main section and I don't feel the poll is getting the attention it deserves in the marketplace sub forum.

Sticky request please.

No. Not needed. Just trade with your friends. ;)

Yes because trading with a dozen or so people is anywhere near as good as trading with potentially millions of people 💡

All that needs to happen really is a "trade" option alongside "gift" and you each click the cars you want to trade, you see both cars and all there specs next to each other, and if both of you click yes, the cars are sent between both of you simultaneously.

This is not hard at all to impliment and honestly should have been done from the get go.

well before the marketplace thread closed I don't think there was any negative feedback on anyone...It seems the gtplanet community is rather trustworthy

I agree, an auction house would be perfect. It would eliminate the purpose of the used car dealership, but you'd have a massive selection at great prices.

Well the auction house would be selling cars that people had tuned and painted already as well, so it'd go well alongside the used dealer I think.

Just based on my experience with "other racing games", it seems to work quite well.

Right, it's just that the prices and selection would be far better than the used dealership if it were implemented now, seeing as how most players have a large stock of cars they would be willing to sell. If it had been in place from the start it would be a different story though.

Also who wants to add people they don't know to their friends list just to do a trade. Last time I looked you could only have 100 friends. What happens next? I guess you just start adding and deleting people just for a car?

Should have been thought about more.

WHy is everyone intent on making GT into a another Forza?

The Forza economy is broken and flawed, as are pretty much all "managed" economies. It addsa distraciton that is really not needed in FM.There is literally nothing unique and desirable abotu any one elses version of a car in GT - other than you dont have it yet.

Beware of what you ask for folks - eventually you will get it and then what? The game gets bogged down with all these ancillary activities that have little to do with driving and the game over all suffers.
