Should I buy GT5P to prepare for GT5?

The time trials have the physics that will be in the full GT5. The physics in GT5P are a bit different(a bit GT outdated) but it is still a very good game.

It may not help you to get used to GT5 because if GT5 physics are the same as the time trial they are a fair bit different to GT5P, however i would recommend you to get it anyway as it is enjoyable to play.
GT5P can be picked up pretty cheap now.

Yeah, I do agree that the GT5 Demo does have differences in physics compared to GT5P, however they are still close enough to deffinitely make it worth picking up. You'll feel far more 'with it' when GT5 hits.;)👍

I agree. It's more than worth it and you can pick it up for quite a cheap price. It wil get you into the GT feel of things, especially if you've been playing too much NFS...

I'd go for it. there's still a good amount of time before gt5 releases (more time than gt5p will probably entertain you for)

One recommendation: go for the DLC copy so it's always ready to go. Then even when you've given up on it and have another game in the drive, it's still there, waiting for a couple quick laps and you don't even have to get up to swap out discs.

It's not like you're hurting yourself on resale value, as gt5p will instantly become worthless when gt5 launches.

I think that you shouls... After all few months there's still few months until Gr5 releases... Oh and gr5p is good game too...👍

Definitely, although I haven’t played it since the TT demo was released and I think that’s the same for most other regulars on GT5P so you might not find many descent online races but there is plenty to do offline to keep you busy for a while.

It's true getting used to GT5P physics may not help much when GT5 is released, but there are number of different tracks & track configurations you can learn that will be a massive advantage.

I was also debating getting GT5P, since I just bought a slim PS3 last week (Really really hard to find btw, had to drive across Houston just to find one.) I guess for thirty bucks, its a good buy. But I thought, maybe I should just hold out until GT5 comes out, and just stick to the 370z demo till then.

Another incentive to pick up GT 5 Prologue is that cars and credits you acquire are going to carry over to GT 5. At least, that is what PD has said will happen.

Yea get it you won't regret it. It will keep you busy a while. Especially good idea if you plan on using a wheel for the first time since it takes a lot of practice.

I decided to buy it now that the TT is done and I do not regret it one bit. I am a huge Live for Speed and rFactor fan, I have been for years, but since I have purchased GT5:P I haven't picked either of them back up. I just finished all C-Class races and have been trying to push my VW Golf '01 to get a 1'27'xxx on Fuji which seems near impossible with a pad. This should keep my hunger at bay until the real thing comes out. Personally, I haven't noticed a huge difference with the physics but then again I have only raced one, non-tuned car.

Is there a way to turn the music down while racing so that I can hear my engine better? I can't seem to find the audio settings.

You can turn the volume off or down in the settings.
I turned mine off.
