After being bored of GT5, and having everyone in the GT5 Forum saying, "Oh, GT4's better" and stuff, should I spend all the money to get a PS2 and GT4?

I don't know that, but one thing I do know is:In GT5, it took me a week and a half to do everything (both A and B spec) besides the NASCAR championship, the FGT and most of the endurances. In GT4, I got to that point in 6 months. It is a much more time-consuming and content-loaded game than GT5. But, I prefer GT5 due to the new cars and tracks.
Shortly:Get GT4 if you are bored with GT5. It's worth it.

I like GT4 for various reasons-
1.Can be displayed in 480p
2.Faster Load times
3.No "Standard" vs. "Premium"
4.A Fast forward feature in B-Spec mode

@Spongey I believe it can in higher res than that.

I would buy it, and then, for a hoot, make another copy of it with a few TT tracks in it.(Its been done) Those were the good old days.

I don't have the American version

i would...i have original ps1-ps3 and a ps2 slim. you can pick up a fat ps2 for close to nothing. def not worth the $100 to buy a slim ps2 imo. gt4 is the best of the gt series as far as over all things to do...were as it lacks in some areas. im 90% on gt5 w/ like 250 cars. i just get on to do the seasonals and buy a couple cars here and there. figured id save my ps3 life and wait for some big updates or DLC. i still play gt1-4 as well. im 50% through gt4 and still have a LONG way to go. just got done doing all the euro championships

I wasn't aware that was a requested feature.
2.Faster Load times
Technically true, though I don't see why anyone would forfeit all the GT5 has for faster load times.
3.No "Standard" vs. "Premium"
All the cars in GT4 look worse than the standards in GT5. Having both standards and premiums is not a benefit, because having both only adds to the game, it doesn't take away.
4.A Fast forward feature in B-Spec mode
I'll give you this one. 👍

GT5 has most of the features of GT4 and more. The main shortcomings are the low number of offline events and some unfortunate glitches. Overall, GT5 is definitely an improvement. Why are you bored of GT5? Have you done all the events in competitive cars?

Gt4 cars actually are more detailed then the standards in GT5, because things like door handles and door grooves were actually modeled :)

GT4 is definitely worth it if you have the money to spend on a PS2. If you hadn't had a PS2 before, there are a ton of other games worth getting as well that you will love, and they will be super cheap.

Anderson, thanks for posting about Tourist Trophy, I never played that and your post reminded me I need to buy it, lol. I'm not a big fan of superbike racing and stuff like that, but the game looks so fun.
