How realistic is Shift when compared to games like GT and Forza? I'm thinking about getting it to satisfy my racing urge, but I'm not sure if it's worth the money. When all the assists are turned off, can it be considered a sim?

That's from a while ago though. I heard the game was pretty buggy, but thought they might have patched it since launch.

Yah it's got some bugs, but even the hotest chick I ever went out with had a few flaws, but she was still hot. lol... I think the game is totaly a cool game, when you race with people that give you room and don't blow you off the track. I race real cars when I can afford it and i think the game is a great practice platform for those down times. The game fits my WFO style of driving, and the GT5p stuff teaches you how to go fast and not rost the hides. But if you don't know how to fly a corner hung out you will never be fast in the real world.

yes yes yes a great game the nurburgring track is spot on and as good if not better than the gt4 version worth every penny:)

Do you own GT4? the Shift NUrb is flat, dark , over advertised, and boring as crap, as if that wasnt bad enough, any time you go over 200kph the whole screen goes blurr up and thats in between the ridiculous "head movements" nauseating.

And that makes it invalid in what way?
