Should I invest in a steering wheel?

I've been thinking about it, but I don't know whether I should. I don't want to spend too much £££ on one. The DFPs are too expensive, even on eBay. Can anyone give a suggestion of a cheaper wheel that is very good for GT4? And if so how much GB£ is it?

DFP, DFGT, G25 and the Fanatec Porsche wheel are the only realistic options.

Don't go cheaper. Save up. It'll be worth it.

If you spend many many hours playing gran turismo and other racing games, you should get the df gt, g25, or the porsche wheel. All of those wheels work on the PC as well as the ps3.

the 'best' one according to most people is the g25, the best wheel for the price right now is the driving force GT, i personally have the GT. From what i've experienced the FF is about the same the g25 has a H shift,clutch and metal paddel shifters that stick out (GT has buttons). If i had the money i would get the g25 but the Gt works just fine. If you look around you can get the GT wheel for about 100 dollars with shipping, i got mine for 100 Canadian.

most people do run G25s too so that isn´t so strange .

For me it´s definiatly the fanatec 911 wheel. Though it´s not better in every regard. I preferr the G25 pedals

if you can't afford one of the old dfp's then your not going to get any wheel. There only about 35 bucks on ebay.

Absolutely, after a while you wonder how you ever managed without one, save up and buy the best one you can, been down the cheap and cheerful route and it were'nt pretty.

Also pays to get it set up securely and comfortable for max enjoyment.

Yeah, I'd say buy the best wheel you can afford. Maybe wait if you can't afford a porsche wheel or G25. I've heard the DF GT is good, But I've never tried it.

I personally have the DFGT and think it is great. It was roughly $130AUD where I got it from and the G25 was about $350. I play GT4 a fair bit but not enough to pay $350 on a wheel.
