If we exclude short versions, reverse tracks, and dirt/snow tracks there are not many tracks on which we have never raced. Question is, do we need to use them, or would you rather re-use the tracks we already used ?

Short versions are great for multi-lapper's so I would say yes to them! (within reason)
Reverse courses are a normal part of the game, so again yes to them!

Snow/dirt, there's a different story altogether.

Not that I mind them on the whole, and an ice race 'could' be fun, but DS2's would be the controller of choice. And the frustration factor would be very high!

To keep the race perfectly clean with no touches what-so-ever would be too much!
Maybe use one of the licence tests and allow touches that the game allows?
We have ran a licence test before with the game's in-built checking as the rule, think it was the Bently @ Le Mans.

What do you think?

I voted for all of em, But its because I could care less where we race....

I get to play with alot of cars I would never use, and also tracks that I hardly ever play on by participating in the WRS, so keep em coming!

Looks like the best reason for racing in the WRS, since it's indeed a good opportunity to race combos that wouldn't have been raced otherwise.

autumn ring mini!!!!

yes neil, short tracks are good for multilappers, but they are even more fun for a close hotlapping... i remember a GC event in autumn ring which was a blast!

That's the truth. 👍
It's also something I've tried to keep in mind for a long time now.
That's also the reason why I voted for the McLaren instead of the M3. :sly: :P

Regarding the tracks above... I kept that same philosophy in mind. Although I would be just fine with racing at any of those tracks, I voted for "Beginner's Course" because it is one of the most rarely used of all those (other than the Test Course).

Super speedway gets an Enduro and the others are actually a lot of fun to race.
Beginner's course though, that could be great for something with a pit stop. :mischievous:
I would like to think 10 or more laps on the Beginner's course would be less difficult than the other courses listed but not as boring as the Test Course or Super Speedway.

3 or 4 laps on Autumn Ring Mini or Clubman5 could be fun but you would need the right car. Both of those tracks are actually rather technical and holding up hotlap pace for more than a few laps could be frustrating in the wrong car.

In the right car though. :mischievous:
Best luck with your decisions Flat-Out. 👍

A good way to race on the test course would be to do one of the slip stream missions, just a thought.

That's a good thought. 👍
The Skyline battle at Test Course could be fun and informative since so many people have trouble beating it.

I'm sure the results would be really tight as well. 👍

I didn't think I would ever say this, but I'm up for a test course battle!
Assuming it is as fun as any other race. ;)

I think we should give a shot to the oval courses on this game, well since I was gone I don't know if there was ever one, but, should be fun and really close times :)

That was one of the main reasons I voted for the Test Course. I also voted for Autumn Ring Mini and Clubman Stage Route 5.

The reason I would think a race on the Test Course would be cool is this:

A multilapper, Arcade Mode race, maybe 2 or 3 laps, in which we use some car with either stock power and weight, or with -20% power and +10% weight and then we allow everybody to choose the AI difficulty level.

The reason for this is that I think it would be cool to see how much time could be gained by upping the AI difficulty and slipstreaming behind them. Eventually, the main goal would be to still be able to win the race at +10 AI difficulty setting, if the racer is skilled enough to take the best possible advantage of the presence of the AI cars.

In other words, it would be a "home made" version of the slipstreaming missions, only this time each user chooses his/her own AI difficulty setting that suits him/her the best, according to whatever skills he/she might have.

The reason for the car of choice to remain stock is that I think it would be too easy to pass the AI with +20% power and -10% weight, and this would defeat the purpose of slipstreaming the AI in order to be able to complete the race. As a matter of fact, stock might even be too much, hence the -20% +10%. I am sure some testing would need to be done, for a given vehicle of choice. But I am also sure it can be figured out pretty easily.

I think a race like this would be interesting. It would allow for the AI handicap to be introduced, in much the same way that this week (Week 43) the vehicle handicap was introduced.

Just some ideas...

The Wizard.

I voted for Clubman, because that's the one I'd like to race the most, but I didn't think to click on the other ones that I wouldn't mind racing sometime else. I don't know about racing on test course, or super speedway, it'd just get too boring IMO. I'm fine with the other tracks though, Beginner, Autumn Ring Mini(something light and tossable, maybe sidewaysable...?)...
