Should Wheels be locked to certain cars or available for all cars?

Opinion?
I think all wheels should be available for all cars.
Reasoning: I got a nice set of BBS last night in the mileage store, and i want to use them on my Merc Safety car :(

I don't understand the logic of the restrictions. I've purchased every wheel so far. One of the 5-spoke American Racing wheels can be used on the Gr3 Viper, but not on the Gr4 Viper. Like... wtf, why not??

Makes no sense to me.

Yeah I'm sure in the real world certain wheels won't be available in the correct size, offset, etc for certain cars. But this is a video game. All wheels for all cars.

Some wheel restrictions make sense to me. For example, Gr.B (rally) cars should not be rolling 20" blingy wheels with low-profile tires. Rally cars need higher profile tires to handle the jumping impacts and other dirt course hazards. I am stretched to come up with any other logical argument.

So just make sure that all the rally car variants of the wheels are smaller in size. I appreciate that OZ Racing may not make a Superturismo wheel in a 21" or a 14", but why that means I can't use it in a game is daft IMO.

I've done some track days before in proper kitted cars belonging to friends or other enthusiasts. and from what i've noticed many "serious" drivers run with 16 " to 18 " max. any more and yes, you have stability at higher speeds, but acceleration is hindered.
Personally, i'd like PD to offer wheels when purchasing in different sizes. that way i could put a 17 " on my Porsche GT3.

What wheel fits on one car but not another seems completely random and makes no sense. I'm with the 'Wheel Justice Warriors' on this one.

If they want to restrict them in any way, it should be that purpose built race cars (Gr1 & Gr3) can only have center lock wheels (I think we can all agree that a 5 lug bolt wheel on a LMP car is kinda ridiculous). Non-race cars have the 4 or 5 lug wheels. Gr4 is kind of a toss up and should go both ways.

I 100% agree, if the Wheel is a center lock one (generally used for serious racing, Porsches and certain Ferrari's) then it shouldnt be able to fit on a 5 nut wheel.
