Anyone else expecting that car for round 8 ?

I do. I was expecting the Skyline to be the main car at first though. And I also expect a full lap around Nurburgring too.

Adding the Signatech Nissan would be a good way to close the 2012 Academy game.

To be honest i was hoping this would be the case, but unfourtunately PD has decided it would be best just to slap an ugly and decal on plain old cars...
Would've been so awesome to follow the GT Academy ladder in this competition!
-Nissan Leaf 👎
-Nissan 370Z
-Nissan GT-R
-Nissan 370Z Tuned
-Nissan GT-R Tuned
-Nissan 370Z GT4
-Nissan GT-R GT3
-Signatech Nissan LMP2 Oreca
Oh wel! Nothing wrong with dreaming!

That would be nice but as we all know PD only hear the greater voice.

Since GT Academy winners would be driving race prepped road cars to start their career in, it only makes sense that the GT Academy program would only consist of production cars.

The first 2 race cars I mentioned are production cars with the GT Academy career culminating in Prototype racing.
A GT4 car is indeed pretty close to a street car, hell there are many tuned road cars that are way more heavily modified than a GT4 car!

GT Academy careers don't culminate into anything unless the driver makes it happen.

can you link? i only saw GTR and motegi screenshots separately:embarrassed:

Not really, more like unless Nissan makes it happen... What you get is a ride with Nissan and where they want to take you. Right now the most succesful graduate is Lucas and the highest he's been in LMP2 with Nissan. And with Nissan not beign involved in anything higher than LMP2 at the moment I'd say yes their carreers top at LMP2.

Now what I'm really curious to see is where Bryan goes, Nissan isn't really nvolved in anything major here in the US. Hopefully that will change and he'll get a better ride!

From what i can see The GT-r in the motegi it has a spoiler(wing) and the front has a nose scoop on it.

You do realize most GT cars are quite close to their road counter parts, especially the GT4 which is bascially a stripped down road car with competition parts such as tires and what not. Power is pretty much the same from road car to GT4 version.

It makes plenty of sense to have at least the GT4 car modeled since that is a car that they would be driving in the competition and starting out with if they win. It doesn't matter if not everyone is going to win or not, but givng people a realistic outlook to the academy seems like the proper thing. Yet this is a promotional part of GT for PD to push some more games and DLC as well as bring drivers together for a shot at something more.

Lucas earned the LMP seat.

Jann is well on his way to the LMP ranks as well if he keeps his performances going.

No one is saying he didn't. What Jav is trying to say is yes, if you are great and do quite well you get a shot and go where Lucas is.

We also have to remember Lucas isn't just in LMP2, since he has a test role for the Deltawing, which is also now powered by Nissan and a factory car. Which further proves Jav's point. Which is Lucas is less of a PD driver and now a Nissan contracted driver as well as the others. Which then brings us back full circle to GTA being Nissan money rolled along with PD and more or less why such Nissan's as the GT4 should be in the game.

It would be very dissapointing if the final round is a lap around the Nordschleife. I doubt this will be the case. All I do in GT5 is drive around the Nordschleife. So do others. This will be such a disadvantage to new players who probably won't have enough time to equal the more experienced ones....

It would really surprise me if it were.
Using Twin Ring Motegi as a full lap track would be the best choice (out of everything I've seen so far) in my opinion. Most of us haven't 'driven' the track in at least a year and a half if at all.
Although I don't know if it will really matter I'd guess that PD would go for a track that is a bit easier to memorize than the Ring :)

What about this car? Could this be the one for round 8 ?
I've never seen it before... (I want one)
