Seems that the weather might be alright after all..

Just got back from night qually, met Colin Turkington.. result! Busier than usual too.

Sweet, holed up with my camera, some lagers and lots of energy drinks, its beautiful weather and the sun is setting over behind luffield. Looks like the aquila might wipe the floor with everyone. I'm cheering on Turkington in the ginetta, and the number 7 Z4....

Can't believe how warm it is here, its that time of day... Lots of photos of glowing brake discs.

Edit: uh oh, at maggots now, never seen so many emergency vehicles at a track incident before...! Looks like the 4

Edit 2: its a marshall possibly it by a car during a recovery.

Getting cold now, although I am on the top floor of the Tuborg open top bus, overlooking the pit straight... No idea what's going on on track though!

God I love this event.. there is only one place I'd rather be in the world right now...

Road Atlanta?

Nope!

2am oclock here, sat in the stand, its still pretty good weather all things considered... Debating whether or not to have a beer or a red bull... No idea who's winning....

Classic sportscar racing then! Is there no radio coverage of the event?

Just stuck my head out the window and I think I can just hear the cars.

What's the loudest car there?

Probably the GT2 porsches and ferraris.. a pretty quiet grid this year... No rotarys, or Adrian Newey lotuses.

Edit: haven't seen the RJN GT academy Nissan in quite some time...

Less than hour to go.. 31 hours with only a couple of hours kip.. probably the best Britcar 24 yet, weather has been perfect, but I'm about ready for sleep, and a bath.

Spent Sunday trying to get a Mosler out of a tyre wall. He was leading, then had catastrophic problems (Either a stuck throttle or a seized engine).

Heard it was a big one, didn't see it though, think I was watching down at Vale when it happened.

Glad to here the Marshall at Maggots wasn't too badly injured. Looked scary from where I was standing.

Got lots of photos from the weekend, will upload some, somewhere soon.
